Description
Well as some of you might know, I had recently gotten interested in the Anime/Video Game series called "Dangan Ronpa." I had wanted to draw something relating to my most favorite character in the series, Alter Ego. Not just something simple though, but something very detailed and showing off his computerized awesomeness. This is what I came up with, and I am quite proud of the result.

I wanted this artwork of Alter Ego to really show off his digital nature, and I used a boatload of Fireworks effects to do so. I don't usually have to use this many special effects, but when I'm drawing something that requires them, I do what I can to make them look awesome.
First of all, I made some of his body look like it is showing his computerized coding and such. I added glowing lines on that part to resemble those of Digital Wire-Frame models, and added behind it a repeating design of Binary Code, rendered to look more 3D in appearance. I used some other Fireworks effects to make it look more like it's digitally appearing as well. Then I used a BG of computer circuitry, and added some green pixel-like blocks to it as well, some of them looking more transparent than others. After that, I gave it the green transparency of the monitor screen that Alter Ego displays himself with. Finally, I made a border to make it look similar to the edges around his monitor screen. Took me a while to do all of this, but I think the result really payed off. I drew him winking and waving since it looked cute. Ended up looking sweet, and almost Matrix-like.

Alter Ego certainly has to be my most favorite character in Dangan Ronpa. He's the most likeable to me, although I also like Chihiro Fujisaki, the boy genius who created Alter Ego in his likeness, and Nanami Chiaki, this super-cute and moe' schoolgirl who is a big-time gamer nerd.
Alter Ego is so cool in how he's the only one of the "students" who isn't human, but is instead an advanced Computer AI who assists many of the others throughout, which makes him unique, and demonstrates how Dangan Ronpa is a rather futuristic series. Also, I admire how he actually appeared in both Dangan Ronpa and Super Dangan Ronpa 2. Apparently he managed to narrowly survive the "Death Sentence" that the Headmaster put him through.

Although what's rather sad about what later happens to Alter Ego in the first Dangan Ronpa is that he was sentenced to death by the Headmaster, even though he hadn't harmed a single other person or did anything wrong, and even if he wanted to do something like that, he couldn't, since the Headmaster cut all input routers and wireless connections at the school, keeping Alter Ego trapped in his little Laptop-like Operations Terminal. Although the reason that he was executed was never stated, I feel that the Headmaster found out about how Alter Ego was helping the others out, and feared that his actions might expose her and her plans. So the Headmaster got rid of Alter Ego before he could ruin things for her.
But despite how his Operations Terminal was completely pulverized at his "death sentence," somehow his central memory unit must have managed to stay mostly intact, and one of the others managed to salvage and repair it and install him in a new Operations Terminal. This would probably make him the only Dangan Ronpa character who managed to escape one of their wacky and ridiculous executions alive, although it's somewhat questionable though, as for I don't think Alter Ego would really classify as a "living character," but it's still considerable.

I hope you all like this one. I plan to hopefully draw more Dangan Ronpa stuff later on too.

EDIT: I've been recently using this artwork of mine as my Desktop Wallpaper for my School Computer. I also recently installed Rainmeter Desktop Customization Tool and added some neat stuff to my desktop to go with it. The effect of this as my Wallpaper with the Rainmeter stuff added in is rather cool too, it almost looks like Alter Ego is monitoring the systems and displaying it for me. If you want to see a screenshot of how cool this looks on my School Computer Desktop, feel free to ask and I'll show you.
