I love the design of her tail. It's like a sea-horse. I like the movement and the flow of the whole painting

Thank you!
Years of charcoal drawings (school stuff) made me become a greyish creture... XD

No problem!
I love that style(again), probably because I'm so bad with colors ._:

Hmmm.... I love greyscale drawings and paintings, but I also like adding a few colorful details...
Super bright and colorful drawings are not my thing. I enjoy it, I like seeing other ppl colorful works, but I just don't feel comfortable doing it myself. XD

Very cool; I particularly like the seaweed-like tail on the female one.

Love the artwork! Especially the mermaids tail, it is a unique style and have never seen a mermaid have that type of tail. Very interesting. I do love how you did this artwork in black and white. Has a nice touch to it. I would like to see this drawing but with colors, to see how there colors can represent themselves and there species.

Same for me, I used to try drawing mermaids all the time. Love the design you did for yours here, especially the female one which reminds me of flowers and that type of plant-looking seahorse (leafy seadragon I think it's called), which I find extremely beautiful. The merman looks great as well, and generally I love their sense of movement, they really seem to float about and move , and love their facial expressions and body language. Also the sumi-e-like technique of the painting works really well for them, makes them appear even more alive.

Personally, I wasn't really into mermaids that much. Elves have always been my thing. Putting that aside, I really love your mermaids. They look amazing and I particularly love their tails.

Rly? Because elves became a thing to me when I was 12 and started playing D&D. But when I was 4~6 I wanted to be a mermaid so bad... XD Sometimes a dinosaur. But mostly a mermaid. lol
What did you see that made you like elves since childhood? <3

I was maybe like 8-9 when I started really getting into Elves. My Dad was a D&D player (1st Edition) and he gave us his books. Elves back then were always half-Mage/half-Fighter (Only humans got classes in 1st ed). I've always loved magic so I kind of gravitated to a race of people who could all use magic. Before that, I honestly don't remember. I quite liked Transformers, Zelda, Mario and Megaman back then. Maybe that?
