Description
Another part of the set started in spring about Anthros with different professions. This time Wolves = Hunters c:
As you will probably notice it isn't quite finished. I grew tired of it to be honest, mostly since after 4 months without progress, I had done so many other paintings that it just didn't seem to match up anymore. But well, I'm still happy with the overall result!Β The poses and composition really worked out the way I wanted and the colors are good as well. Also, as always, practice is never bad, even if the painting gets scrapped in the end.
Haha, I hope the unfinished bits aren't disturbingly noticable at first glance xD
PS CS4, Wacom Intuos. [~10h] Started waaay back in March

Wow. Incredible artwork. I love how realistic these brother wolves look and their medieval clothing is also realistic for people of their time period. Its cool how one brother has a deer slung over his shoulders and the other has his bow drawn. Is there danger afoot?

I can feel the brotherly connection between these two characters - love the muted colors on this palette and the combination of clever details and semi-blurred out visuals to keep the eyes wandering around the canvas comfortably. Awesome stuff mate!

Those aren't Cirth or anything dwarfish, it's just basic Elder Futhark -aka old norse runes. c: They spell 'Heyriel'
