Description referring back to the post of 'About my style' this is that realistic hand I drew.
As you can see, I wrote my devname pretty big and I put my crappy thread-made doll of heather there and I took a crappy snap shot of this and didn't scan it in since I am really proud of this xD
yeah...
most realistic picture I've drawn ever I'm pretty sure.
and i drew this when I was bored one night xD

so yeah. there. that's my proof of drawing reality things xD

I actually think it's very good. The shading looks good, a little rough but the proportions are there and... well quite frankly *I* couldn't draw realistic hands like that when I was the same age as you are, heck I struggle to do so now.

It's important to learn how to draw things in reality because that reflects so much more on cartoony styles than many people realise. You can bet your bottom dollar every single animator and artist at, saaay, Dreamworks is a very skilled realistic artist, and that this has a great effect on their art, including their 3D

thanks xD
yeah, its not entirely the best, but I think its the best I've done so far.
I find it very hard to draw realistic things that are far away. Its a lot easier for me to draw it when its right next to me or on paper xD

yeah, I keep thinking I want to try to work for Disney, Pixar, or Dreamworks, and everyone has so much confidence in me, but really... there's a big part of me that never sees it happening.

You are a great artist and you are only going to keep getting better. Like I aid: you're better than I was at your age so by the time you're twenty six (yes I know I'm old v.v) you'll probably blow a lot of pros out of the water. You just have to keep practising and yes, that means learning to draw realism and stuff you don't necessarily like. You know sometimes the artists at Studio Ghibli will go out during days and just draw one thing all day: like skirts, or hands or so on. That really helps them. You learn by observing. Maybe you should try it?

It's sensible to consider alternatives to your dream job, and you doubt because you're not stuck up or overly proud in your abilities, but you should still respect your skills. Don't give up on your dream job, but accept you may have to do some things you don't like to get there. You have plenty of time to decide what you want to do.
