So, to Hell with consistency of character if you don’t agree with it? You haven’t known many WW2 vets personally, I take it? I have. Not one would have qualified as any more to the “left” by the current Overton Window then the Center, which would have made them VERY Leftist by 1940s standards. Anyone further left then that back then probably would have been a war protester, and spent the time in jail.
