Description
THis is the I-07's [link] cockpit layout. It may not show much, but I just wanted to do something quick so you guys get a basic idea of how it works. The main control method is a combination of neural impulses and a more traditional, yet radical joystick/pedal configuration.
The neural uplink is something used pretty much everywhere so I wont delve into that too much. Think matrix.
But something totally different about the cockpit is that the larger limb movements are controlled by handles and pedals that the pilot manipulates. The pilot uses his/her body in the way they normally would, and the GA does. These connected limbs provide resistance to the pilot so the pilot knows how far the GA's limbs are outstretched. This may be somewhat harder to explain, but those that know how an arm-slave (Full Metal Panic!) works then you know how this works. The only difference is, the pilot's neural uplink provides control of the smaller functions. Acceleration, jumping, running, swimming, finger movement, etc. The seat is a two mode deformable platform where there is a standard reclined mode for standby/start up, and a supported standing mode where the pilot then uses his/her limbs to manipulate the GA's. Kinda like avatar and FMP fused together to create this beast.

very interesting, but what about pilot safty, like an ejection system?

The entire cockpit assembly ejects from the main frame. If further damage is taken on the cockpit once ejected, the pilot is ejected from the cockpit via ejection seat. This is something that I have yet to put down on paper.

is there some type of ai or advance computer that helps the pilot make precise movements like a human or crazy movements like advance flight maneuver at high speeds(if you dont know what i mean look at this anime called eureka seven, the mech movements on that show look way to hard for a normal human to do with out help)

Lolz you quoted the anime that had the most influence on me when I was designing these. And yes the onboard AI are used for pretty much all aspects of manipulation and movement, with their own personalities and interconnect-ability. Kind of like the AIs in the HALO universe.

i know that's basically a titanium refrigerator with a seat but... what happens if i decide to jump off and tear the motherfucking module off with my own hands? or use a long range rifle? or even if im on a F-4 Fighter bomber and i lay down a drone missile ?

well thats always is a risk. thats why other modifications have specific additional cockpit plating. so it might not be heavy-weapon proof but it is small arms proof.

Lolz Knightmare frames were an inspiration for the GAs. along with many other mecha.

i love it when mechas and robots inspire me to design another mecha, and the nightmares are a mecha that is just astounding, but the mecha in armored core are really doing some work on the way mine are coming out these days

very nice to see where the pilot goes; watch out for those rear attacks, though, man!

The pilot's protected by 10 inches of titanium alloy composite. kinda like the a-10. It's pretty much impenetrable.
