It is peculiar in that the hoodie is striped with two very specific alternating grey values in the monochrome part, but then such a myriad of values in the coloured area. Was that intentional? It doesn't seem that way...

that was intentional D:
the part in the frame was her keeping herself from variety, life, and color. hence the monochrome and a "black and white" shirt. it is also reminiscent of the old prison outfits

You could have made the coloured stripes so that they matched the values of the monochrome stripes, while still being a bunch of colours... But, y'know... that's kinda effort-ish.
