Description

Unlike most isekai stories, a certain man found himself in a very unique situation after dying in an accident; he was reborn as a vending machine. It wasn’t a problem for him, as he was a fan of vending machines, and he also made some good friends, despite his movement and language limitations. As a vending machine, he could not walk himself, but luckylly he had a trusty companion to carry him around, a pretty blonde girl named Lammis, who was blessed with superhuman strength. She was the first person he met in that world, and it was her who gave him the name Boxxo. Lammis worked as a hunter, she killed monsters for money, and Boxxo always accompanied her to her jobs, providing food, water and other forms of support.

That day, Lammis and Boxxo were on their way to meet with other hunters for a mission, and they were being accompanied by Lammis’s childhood friend Hulemy. Unlike Lammis, Hulemy was not a fighter, but a researcher, who could provide support for the group with her knowledge. She was a rather messy girl, with little concern for her long hair or clothes, but despite that Boxxo could not deny her beauty.

After a couple of hours walking, they decided to sit down and take a break at the request of Lammis, as she had some needs to take care of. She put down Boxxo and then ran into some trees until she found a spot where the others couldn’t see her. After finishing her business, Lammis got ready to return to her friends, but another person suddenly appeared, a mysterious man wearing a coat.

"Who are you!?" Lammis said with her guard on.

"Just a thief looking for a pretty blondie to capture."

"Capture!? No way I will let you!"

"Then maybe I should go after that girl with the messy hair first" he said referring to Hulemy.

Lammis got angry and immediately tried to punch the man, but she missed and almost tripped while attacking.

"Wow, you are really bad at throwing punches."

"Shut up!"

Despite her strength, Lammis had really bad balance for reasons she couldn’t understand, making it difficult to land her punches, something that could only be fixed by carrying Boxxo on her back as a counterweight. Despite that, she kept attacking her enemy, but it was pointless; even leaving aside Lammis’s weakness, the man was very agile, and was clearly toying around with her. The closest she got to hit him, the man just moved out of the way, making her hit a tree instead, splitting it in two.

"This is fun, but I’m on a schedule."

After another attack failed, the girl suddenly felt a sting in her neck. She checked with her hand and found a small dart. In just a few seconds, the effects of the dart manifested, making her dizzy, even if she threw it away. With all of her willpower, she tried to punch the man again, but he caught her attack with his bare hand.

"What?"

"It seems you are out of strength."

"No..." She tried to throw another punch, but she had no strenght to lift her other arm.

"Dont worry, you that dart was only to make you sleep."

The man let go of Lammis's hand. She tried to walk towards him, but she was using all of her efforts just to stay on foot. It didn’t take long for her to fall onto her knees and then to the floor, unable to move.

"Hulemy… Boxxo… I’m… sorry..." she thought as she closed her eyes and fell into unconsciousness.

The man approached Lammis and kneeled next to her, taking a look at her body. He then proceeded to take off her boots, to keep them to himself. He also noticed Lammis was wearing a single stocking, so he removed it and tossed it away.

"Why do you wear a single stocking? That pisses me off."

He was about to take Lammis away, but he heard some footsteps approaching, so he immediately went into hiding. The man saw Hulemy coming into the scene, probably after hearing the sound of Lammis breaking a tree. The girl went to check on her unconscious friend, trying to wake her up.

"Lammis! Are you ok?" Hulemy tried to wake up her blonde friend, but she didn’t notice how the man who attacked Lammis approached her and grabbed her.

"Mphhhh!!!" Hulemy's screams were blocked by a hand in her mouth.

"Thanks for coming here, you saved me a lot of time."

"Mpphhhh!!" Hulemy tried to free herself, but the man was too strong “Did he attack Lammis?”

"Having two beautiful hostages, I did well in taking this job."

"Hostages? Me and Lammis are hostages? Then his target must be..."

"Sorry cutie, but I only broguth one sedative, so..."

The man immediatly gave a quick hit to the back of Hulemy's neck. The girl fell limp in his arms, and he laid her down on the ground next to Lammis. With that done, he took a look at Hulemy’s feet, wearing a pair of sandals. With a smile, he removed them to keep them for himself.

"Now, time to get the real target."

After Lammis and Hulemy left, Boxxo was left on his own. Since he couldn’t move on his own, he could only wait until his friends came back, but that didn’t stop him from worrying about them.

"Hey, are you Boxxo?"

The vending machine noticed how a man had appear suddenly a few meters from him. He did not recognize him, but he could recognize the two women he was dragging behind him. He could not see their faces, but he could tell they were unconscious and missing their shoes.

"Lammis! Hulemy!"

"Hey, let’s make a deal."

"Too bad!" Boxxo responded with his phrase for negation.

Boxxo immediately created a magic barrier around him and expanded it. His barrier was very durable, and he could control who could go through it. If he was able to reach the girls, he could get them into the barrier and push that man aside, ensuring their safety. However, the man lifted the girls under his arms and with an amaizing speed and skill he took various steps backwards until the barrier stopped expanding.

"No!!" Boxxo thought in frustration.

"I knew you would do that" the man said letting the girls on the ground and then proceeded to touch the barrier "I heard about your barrier, but its more impresive in person. It’s a shame, you were so close to saving them."

"This can’t be. What do I do now?"

"So, here is the deal. You put down your barrier and come with me, and the girls won’t die. How does that sound?"

Boxxo remained in silence trying to think of what to do.

"I can assure you they will be safe, as long as you cooperate. My client has a lot of interest in you. After we deliver you, I will set them free. You have my word." The man said in a confident tone. "But I’m keeping their shoes, those are my trophies."

Naturally, Boxxo didn’t trust the man, not only was he shady, but also a clear pervert. However, he didn’t have a choice at the moment, he couldn’t think of anything that could help him save his friends.

"Hello there!" Boxxo responded with his phrase for affirmatio.

"That means yes, right? Good."

Boxxo put down his barrier, the man then snaped his fingers more people appeared in two carriages and surrounded the vending machine. The other people carried Boxxo and placed him in one of the carriages; from there he saw how the leader carried Lammis and Hulemy over his shoulders and placed them into a separate carriage, which would travel at a safe distance of him. The leader sat next to his victims, while at his side there was a box containing the girl’s shoes, which would later go to his collection.

As for Boxxo, he could only stay there as their captors drove them into an unknown location. Lammis and Hulemy’s safety was his priority, so he would comply with everything his enemies wanted, with the hope that their other allies would come to save them.
