Description

He did not know who he was or how he came into existence, but he knew what he was, a Phantom, a fantasy creature that people use to think were legends, but know people knew were everywhere. This phantom in particular had a very limited field of vision when he came into existence, that is because he was under a bed, the bed of a girl.

The phantom could not see her face, only her feet as she walked around the room, but he could hear her perfectly whenever she talked to her family or friends. Her name was Mai Kawakami, and she was actually a Phantom Hunter, someone with special powers to seal dangerous phantoms. The phantom under the bed could tell she was very strong, so he decided not to let her know he was there, or at least that was his intention at first.

After many weeks of learning more and more about Mai, he started developing feelings towards her. He loved how he laughed, how she cried, how she got angry, and the noises she made while sleeping. Perhaps it was absurd, but he wanted to get closer to her. Living under the bed was very lonely, but it wouldn't be bad if there was someone there with him. So, he made a decision.

That day Mai came home very late. She was tired, probably from fighting another phantom. After taking a bath and changing into her pajamas, she went to bed to sleep. That is where the phantom made his move as the bottom of the bed started to shine. For the first time in his life, he extended some of his various arms out the bed, then he removed the sheets covering Mai, and grabbed her bare legs. Naturally, Mai woke up when she felt that; she was alarmed, but she did not panic. She was a phantom hunter after all. Mai was ready to use her powers to destroy those shadow hands, but right before that, another hand appeared from the left, and a light coming from that hand immediately put her back to sleep. He had no intentions of hurting her, so he just used a sleeping spell he had as a phantom that lives under the bed.

He continued pulling her down until finally she was under the bed, where they could be together forever in his world, or at least until Mai's friends came to rescue her.
