The wind rattled through the branches as the horses flew past. The dull thuds of their hooves were felt in the very bones of their riders as adrenaline coursed through their bodies. Whitney grinned like a maniac as she spotted the next target. She focused her aim on the red bulls eye, drawing the bow string taut. But just as she was about to release her arrow, the thwack of a different arrow hitting the target startled her. She let the arrow fly before turning to face her partner. He grinned wildly at her. "You've got to work on your aim!" Abbadon called, a smirk playing across his face. Whitney turned and grimaced. His arrow had hit near dead center, while hers had hit one of the outer rings. She whipped around and shot back: "It's not my fault - you distracted me!" His laughter filled her ears as they thundered on through the forest.
