it was a tutorial i used and i just tweaked it to my own liking. i don't really remember what settings i used. i can find the tut for you if you'd like.

that's the tutorial i used, but obviously used other settings to suit the photo i was using. it's just trial & error to get what you want.
i don't usually either, but it was something different from all other entries and i thought it would stand out
