Well, I guess the wall and the model stand on sand, don't day Sand is not a solid flat substance...anything that stands on it sinks according to its weight while forcing some of the sand outwards (I guess you have witnessed it many times when you step on sand yourself) Besides, the wind would also build up some sand around the wall
I guess adding some sand to hide those perfect lines of the wall's base and the girl's feet would bring additional realism to the composition. You can do it by deleting or masking random tiny bits of the wall's lower edge and the feet of the girl...the amount and roughness of what you "hide" underground will also indicate the hardiness and roughness of the sand. It is a small detail, but sometimes it makes a great difference

I know right? The nebulas are awesome.. Mostly I did the "overlay" on a duplicate layer for several pieces.. upping or lowering opacity.. and then just brightness contrast.. lol
