Thing is, no one's managed to beat her yet. Other than the king himself, she's bested every knight that's went up against her in combat.
These duel challenges are harmless and are by no means a way of taking the throne of Ruvex; simply a test of wit and might, and for anyone that can best her in combat, may receive a hefty reward.
These rewards may include a heavy coin purse, a place to stay within the palace walls, or improve the rank of the position the knight currently holds. Ultimately, the choice would be up to them. If they manage to win that is...
