Description
From my point of view, this might be the most successful painting I did this year.Could't sleep so I just painted something early this morning - it felt most relaxing and satisfying. Syd Mead was probably my biggest inspiration here again - both technique and subject wise. I salute him with this.
I am addicted to this one brush at the moment which has a very desirable look I've always strived for.
Took around 2.5 hours
I wanted to thank everyone for their constant support. An artist is nothing without their audience.

:3 Magnificent, alright. I especially love how the shapes and so forth seem to be made in a way that's platonic, and yet so futuristic-looking and real. It's like I'm looking through a gigantic window that directly leads me to seeing this.

Love the dome in the background and the light it casts in the foreground.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say that this picture is not terribly strong, in that it doesn't say factory to me at all and loses definition too close to areas of interest - for instance, the double pyramid structure in the midground becomes fuzzy and translucent at the top, such that the background shows through. I doubt this was a design choice, but rather lack of polish that is distinct from the impressionism that sustains speedpainting.
On the other hand, you've used an interesting and counterintuitive palette here, and the shape of the double pyramid building brings back fond memories of an obscure 90s game called Time Commando.

yeah that factory was a spur of the moment idea, couldnt come up with anything more creative
I noticed the translucent pyramid, didn't fix up that area.

Oh yeh thats really nice and the sweet purple and yellow combo too!
Creating brushes is something I have really tried to stress in
my paintings too, to do a few every now and than , cuz there is always that possibility you find a great brush, and it always suprises
me how different each brush and the feeling really is, and its so great finding a few brushes that gives a pleasing effect.
Also making brushes is sort of finding out more about yourself, searching for what you like and dont like, how you want them to work, feel and look.
