Got permission to post these!
I did so called "pitch artwork" for 2 Hollywood screenwriters, Gregg Chabot and Kevin Peterka. They are trying to sell a sci-fi storyscript and needed some promotional illustrations.
Had lots of fun on all the paintings!

Last piece I can show! There is one other finished painting which unfortunately I can't show (yet)!
This is a confrontation scene with crashed Hyper G One, the Chinese military and the alien mechas involved, taking place on a frozen lake while madness ensues!
Alien mechas are just coming out of a transdimensional gate...
PS7, 7h or so, no ref.
I actually modelled the plane in Wings 3D for this painting first, then based the painting on a rough render of it.

This is just stunning me out!!
The light effects of the Transdmensional gate on the mechas and floor are amazing! Moreover, the decagonal gate concept perfectly fits the point of view you've chosen! Point of view really well-found, by the way: the HyperG's propellers well-composing the whole piece.. so do those great reflects on the floor!
I has been a long time that i hadn't seen that quality in lighting!

Great art, but given these are the guys who wrote that god-awful Reign of Fire (according to wikipedia), I doubt we'll see a movie out of it. From the look of it, they should write computer games instead.

Wow Epic man, you did a really nice job on the gunfire here. and the electricity is great, I can just imagine the great gunship/plane swooping lown and the gust it creates almost sweeping everyone below off their feet.

Not bad at all. I'm not sure about the gate sitting at an oblique angle like that - what is the orientation of the gate on the other side and how does the gate transform geometrically the orientation of the travelers?
