Description
Yeah, did a fanart for LΓ©on- the pro, because I really love the movie!Up in my Top 10 I guess...
----
PS 7, 4-5 hours, no ref.
Yup, I did it all without ref. - as usual. The taxi was hard, I still don't like it.
Could have added Mathilda and the plant as well...was lazy.
always glad to get comments, faves etc.
----
I will make this a print.

this is great. the great expanse above the lone figure really gives a sense of how this random (albeit oddly dressed) guy in the Big Apple has a explosive story behind him...but who would guess?

I've never seen it before but seeing this picture and reading the wikipedia description sure makes me want to D:
Anyways, love the picture, great use of colors and an interesting atmosphere. Also, why do you put this in your scraps?

thanks a lot! The movie was extremely inspirational and I had vivid memory of certain scenes after seeing it. So I quickly tried to capture it as best as I could I like these kind of paintings best since they come out pretty good compared to unplanned junk

I know what you mean. Trying to draw from an inspiration but trying to put put it out from imagination to picture is difficult but always comes out inspirational and Imaginative (not the way you thought it would have come out to be.)

A fine film, and a faithful rendition. I love that you did Leon as a small part of the scene, yet its obvious focal point. It suits his character very well.

jeez, you haven't actually heard of it? It's one of the best movies every created. Ranking No 40 or something on the imdb.com Top 250 Films of all time! o_O
Go see it, yeah! It also has 12 year old Natalie Portman and Gary Oldman! Directed by Luc Besson in 1994 - a classic.
Oh yeah, make sure, you get the Director's Cut which has lots of extra scenes!

No, I actually hadn't, but it honestly sounds like an /amazing/ movie. Especially if it has Jean Reno in it.
Favorite. French Actor. Ever.

That's pretty cool, it's pretty bright for Leon, everything in the movie was, well it wasn't dark but it was very frankly lit... the sun was never overpowering like that... still, it could be morning. I wish you had added Mathilda. Only big problem with the pic is that first traffic light is WAY to high up to be real. No one would see it up there, especially in New York.

yeah, agreed, the traffic light is too high, plus it's actually off perspective.
Thanks for the crits, man!
