Description
Another entry of mine for the Sijun challenge.Topic was 'Time Shift'.
I always liked the Victorian era with steampunk and Tesla so I went with an according interpretation in a fictious Tesla Lab where they invent a time machine.
I painted over simple 3D shapes which I put together in Wings. Also looked at some steam engines for inspiration
5h I believe.

Hmm, this looks very similar for some reason. The time machine in Red Alert 3 maybe?

i didn't have reference but looked at some steampunk photography for inspiration. Then I modelled the setting roughly in Wings 3D and painted it up in Photoshop.

This is a strong concept .. and yes painting over 3d shapes helps a lot to manage the perspective and spend more time in brushing and color managment. Well done sir! However, I have a little tiny comment about the time modulars which looks like clocks at right .. I see 3 of them which looks kinda repeated, I think it would be better if they have been repeated in different spots in the composition to create some visual rhythm instead of placing the 3 of them in 1 spot of the painting, however if more than 3 of them in the painting it would be better too. especially they are visually similar to the "time clocks" or "time modulars" may be? just another idea!
