Gabriel, being the Vampire Lord has many secret and faces.

As he manipulates people and acts as a puppet master, making people do his bidding, he creates a web of lies, destroying from inside every person that wrongs him.

As Gabriel rules over blood (his special gift), the webbing is more symbolic, its the manifestation of his magic, just like black smoke for some.

This form seems perfect for the master of manipulation. Giant and elegant body can be carried by the huge arms growing of his back instead of wings.

As a Vampire of Old Blood he is a powerfull creature, hiding in his human'ish body with stronger bones and a thick armor inside his chest that shields his heart he is almost unkillable.

However he is not a villain, more a neutral force of nature that takes and gives. The one thing that he is scared of is Mara, the Diety of Nightmare .

Even if Gabriel tries to drink as little blood as he can, so noone is being hurt, he needs a lot of it to sustain his body and calm hunger that eats him from the inside.
