Description These are two pigeon/dove hybrids that I got from a guy who was giving away all his birds a couple years ago. Sadly, the one on the left died last year, but the one on the right I use as a foster for my other pigeons.

I've read that most pigeon/dove hybrids tend to be infertile, and thus unable to produce babies. However, after having several batches of infertile eggs from the black hybrid and his feral mate(when I found they had infertile eggs, I gave them eggs from one of my other pairs of pigeons so they could raise babies), they now have a 2-week old baby. Since I've kept them in a cage by themselves so far, this has to be their baby! XD It also has a beak that reminds me of a dove.

I have a few questions about your hybred pigeon/doves.

As they are half pigeons can they home? Second question would you ever sell one?

We never flew the hybrids, so I couldn't say. I know doves sometimes will home, as the few times I've had a ringneck get out they have stayed around and let me catch them and put them back in their cage. Other people have said their doves just took off and never came back, so it would be hard to say for sure if a hybrid would stick around or just take off.

We got those 2 in the picture from someone else, and never had anymore, so we never had any to sell. The one on the left in the picture passed on, and now we only have the black one who is a permanent part of our flock.

Ok thanks for answering my questions. As I have been very curious about the pigeon hybrid.

What sounds they make? Cooing of pigeon\dove hybrid might be unusual.

The one on the left sounded more like a pigeon, and strutted around like a pigeon does with his mate. The one on the left, however, sounds a lot like a dove and does the "dove bow" that ringneck males do with their mates.
