Takeo looked up from calling the roll, puzzled. Well, this was certainly strange. There were less people than he'd expected, and some were present that weren't on the class list.

"Uh...why don't we give the rest of your classmates a few minutes to catch up?"

Silence, and a few blank stares.

A minute passed before Kei raised her hand, albeit hesitantly. "Otoosan- I mean, sir...I think that's your class list from Auto class..."

He blinked, shut the small notebook, glanced at the front where he'd written the subject. True enough, it said 'Auto', instead of 'Physics/Chem'.

"So it seems," he returned, mentally berating himself for mixing up the class lists, a sheepish grin on his face nonetheless. "You'll have to excuse your old teacher; this is the first time in years I've had to handle a class of any sort."

Appreciative laughter from most, well-natured groans from a few others, and the rare disbelieving or bored look. At least the start of the term hadn't been too boring.

Yep.

Otoosan tends to mix things up, or get distracted when he's nervous.

Katou: At least he can still joke around an' all that.

Last-minute additional info: I only tie my hair back in a half-ponytail if I need to work on something, like in Auto. Other times...well, my usual hairstyle.

Oh, and yes. The announcement should be going out soon. The Drama Club is holding open auditions for several parts for the theater adaptation of "Because of Love", itself inspired by "Rose of Versailles". That reminds me, I need to dress up for the official announcement with pictures or whatever.
