Name:

Mo’at Nafare

Title:

Mo'at Nafare, Pharaoh of the Neferenn and Guardian of the World Scale

Race:

Desert Mau Neko: A very rare breed of Demi-Human that can only be found on the Shikari continent, and more specifically, the continent’s Desert. The Desert Mau Nekos are known for their beautiful brown/silver hair and their tall, sensitive ears. They are normally very territorial and have been known to attack outsiders that stray too close; as the race is currently endangered (We discovered this the hard way) and upon further investigation, we discovered that only two tribes exist in all the Erriona Sanctum! The other tribes that may have existed were mostly likely wiped out by the last “Ruin” event and it can be assumed that the race has struggled to breed ever since. The Desert Neko’s society and people as a whole seem to be very intelligent despite their old-fashioned ways; normally using a Dictatorial style to help keep their people from becoming too unruly. The title given to their ruler is “Pharaoh”, but we are uncertain if they prefer a male ruler over a female ruler or vice versa. One thing we have discovered however is that only the strongest of their tribe is crowned their Pharaoh; the only way to remove the current Pharaoh from power is through Ritualistic Combat: a fight to the death, where the winner takes the throne (we also assume by regular causes of death too). One final piece of information we were able to acquire from our expedition was that one of the tribe’s Pharaohs may be one of the 5 guardians from the old legend, this could be quite the startling development if this turns out to be true!”

Gender:

Female

Original Home:

The Great Shikari Desert: A large span of open land that is known to be one of the most brutal and unforgiving regions in all the Erriona Sanctum. This lifeless, barren and near unhabitable area of sand and rock goes on for miles all around, how anything could survive here truly baffles me to no end, but nature seemingly finds a way! The only 3 notable races and/or fauna we could find here during our trek were as follows:

 - The Desert Mau Nekos

 - A UIR (Unidentifiable Race) while my team and I were camping out for the evening, a sandstorm seemingly appeared as if out of nowhere, the next thing we knew, the  visibility cut down to near zero and only unsettling screams could be heard from the blinding darkness as the sandstorm whipped through our camp. Once the unnatural storm passed us, we realized we had lost 3 men… all swallowed up by the storm, or so we thought. Eye witness reports say they saw large, female and draconic like figures fly by and abduct the 3 men in a near instant while the sandstorm ravaged our camp! Were these Predators? Were they Raiders? As of now it’s impossible to tell… but when we continued on the next day, we stumbled across some of our men’s clothing, torn asunder with stains of blood. Another reminder that the quest for knowledge is dangerous…

 - A herbivore like creature similar to a boar, we have yet to officially give it a name but it appears to be the of prey for the UIR

While also exploring the mass expanse of desert, we discovered ruins of past civilizations dating long before the last “Ruin” event!! Does this mean there has been more than one “Ruin”? If so, how many civilizations have risen and fallen because of this destructive event!?
- Willman Arter, 3rd Scholar of the Braeven Empire

Age:

The 27th year of Mo’at’s life was probably the most important year in her existence. When the woman turned 27, she challenged the current ruler of the Neferenn to Ritualistic Combat and because of her powerful natural abilities, the battle that ensued wasn’t really a fight at all… this was a one-sided massacre.
Now crowned the newest Pharaoh of the Neferenn, Mo’at could now steer her people in the “right direction”, although some questioned her goals, one pair of eyes from the rift watched with intent. They were quite taken aback when they saw the power a normal demi-human could posses, even the woman’s convictions seemed to be tried and true as well.
After many years of watching silently; Nirvana, first of the dragons summoned Mo’at to his lair, he explained her new purpose, gifted her powers beyond mortal comprehension and returned the Pharaoh to her home. Now the Guardian of the newly placed World Scale, Mo’at would have to guard this relic for all time, but that was the price of immortality supposedly.

Height:

Mo’at stands at a fairly tall height of 6’3

Natural Abilities and Staff’s Powers:

Mo’at is undoubtedly the strongest of the 5 guardians and with good reason! She was hand chosen by Nirvana to guard the World Scale; arguably the most important relic in all of the Erriona Sanctum. It weighs Order and Chaos in each respective arm, making sure that both are in total harmony and balance. If one arm becomes heavier than the other, it’s up to Mo’at to either hail Nirvana or to deal with the problem herself, hence why she is the 5th strongest in the Realm.

With great powers however, comes rather interesting limitations and checks…

Apep, her pet snake, guardian and trusty staff is quite the trickster, he loves Mo’at dearly but since the Pharaoh normally puts female intruders/prisoners into various perils (courtesy of Apep’s abilities), the large snake has become quite curious to see what would happen if his owner were to ever end up in those situations. If… Oh I don’t know… someone was to use the large snake against his owner… Apep may or may not comply with their wishes (although their intent would have to be “innocent” fun and not Malicious).

Apep the Serpent Staff:

Hypnosis:

  • A powerful hypnosis with a relatively simple use, while most use hypnosis to lewd and seduce their prey/captives/victims, Mo’at uses her serpent’s hypnosis to find out the intentions of her prisoners; kind of like a truth serum. Due to her assumptious nature, this leads to a lot of “Oh so you were telling the truth” moments!

  • Unlike Mo’at however, Apep would love to see this ability be used in a more “interesting” fashion. More specifically… used against his beloved owner whenever someone is strong or smart enough to steal the serpent away when Mo’at makes a mistake

“Wait… Apep, what are trying to achieve?! W-Wait…stop…s-stop…A-Apep…” *PING*

Petrification:

  • A powerful ability that turns the target into solid sandstone no matter which way they are facing, this effect lasts for as long as the Pharaoh desires. Mo’at uses it as a means to transport prisoners to keep her throne room’s location a secret (which is where the world scale is placed) or as a detainment strategy to keep prisoners locked up in their own personal prisons. However, it’s important to note Apep can release those trapped in stone at any time, regardless of how close or far they are from the target and the sandstone is also unbreakable, no matter how hard you swing or how far you drop them, the person trapped in stone will not shatter

  • Apep on the other hand, has another usage in mind with his petrification ability; Mo’at can’t get herself into trouble if she is a beautiful, curvaceous and voluptuous sandstone statue… Ah how lovely would it be if he could just coil around her smooth, cool stone form every night before falling asleep…

*After turning his beautiful owner into a lovely sandstone statue, the large serpent wound his way around the curvaceous form of Mo’at who had a relatively shocked expression solidified in stone.*

“Jussst for tonight…” *The serpent thought as he began to close his eyes* “Hypnosssisss will make her forget thisss ever happened…”

Augmentation (Bandages):

  • The ability to grow or expand any item, but in this case the only thing that is able to be augmented is Mo’at’s bandages that cover her limbs. The Female Pharaoh uses this ability to attack and subdue “unruly” prisoners that would dare try to resist the Pharaoh’s authority. When using this ability, her bandages begin to glow and she can let loose a barrage of bandages towards her target in question. She can mummify her target, use the bandages like whips or just restrain the target; the ability has the power to affect all 4 limbs at once, making it possible to let loose hundreds of bandage strands at once

  • Apep of course and as we all know by now, has another very different outlook on how these bandages can be used, the serpent knows about Mo’at’s foot fetish and despite her protests of her own feet being toyed with, Apep isn’t so sure about that, perhaps restraining her with her own bandages may be a quick solution to that mystery…

*Mo’at is currently sitting on her throne reading ancient texts, Apep lazily wrapping around part of her body as his head rests atop the throne. Suddenly the bandages around Mo’at limbs begin to wrap and bind the rest of her body to its sides!* “Apep! What is the meaning of thi---- mmmmpphhhfff!?” *The Pharaoh began but was shortly cut off.* “I jussst wisssh to tessst sssomething isss all… but I can’t have your remembering thisss lessst you refussse to feed me for the next week, my apologiesss…” *His eyes begin to glow* “Mmmmm!!! Mmmmm…? mmmm….”

Apep’s Snake Form:

  • Apep is a large, 26-foot-long Cobra (or 8 meters) with a beautiful platinum and gold skin pattern

  • He was created by Nirvana and gifted to Mo’at as the other half of her demi god-like powers. Together they are the true guardians of the World Scale

  • Apep is also Mo’at’s loyal pet and assigned protector, the hooded serpent was ordered to defend Mo’at at all costs, as her life ending would mean the exposure of the World Scale

  • The giant serpent is very loyal, protective and loving… but he is far from perfect; Apep is also quite mischievous and extremely curious about how his owner would look in the perils she creates with her prisoners. Often letting his curiosity get the best of him, he will have some “fun” with his owner placing her in his own “homebrew” perils or will let others with similar lewd intentions wield him as a staff against Mo’at

  • Apep cannot talk himself, but the serpent has the ability to communicate with Mo’at exclusively via telepathy. The two of them are extremely close and are often seen eating, sleeping and relaxing on a regular basis. A small side note; if Apep is currently a staff, anyone besides Mo’at who holds him can hear the serpents voice in their head

  • Apep also has a rather potent venom that he can use as a spray to blind and slow enemies or can inject into the targets bloodstream to temporarily disable all motor movements and functions, completely paralyzing prey or the enemy

Natural Abilities:

Geo-Kinesis (Desert Variation):

  • The ability to create, shape and manipulate the desert and its elements; which includes sand and sandstone primarily

  • With this power, the only limitation Mo’at truly faces (besides having to be in her desert home) is her imagination! Mo’at can create anything that comes to her mind’s eye with the endless amounts of sand or sandstone at her disposal, she can manipulate the sand around her feet to glide effortlessly throughout the desert landscape, she can create swirling pools of quicksand at her opponents feet to suck them up or she can call on the desert itself to whip up immense and powerful sandstorms to buffer and blind her opponents.

  • Over the many years Mo’at has spent within her desert home, she also learned how to use a relatively rare ability called “Seismic sense”, though it has many uses and variations, this version allows Mo’at to sense vibrations within the endless seas of sand (About a 50-foot radius to be exact.) Although she cannot sense who is approaching her specifically, she can determine how big/heavy they are, and how quickly they are approaching her; allowing Mo’at to fight rather efficiently in the dark, as long as a person is running through sand or sandstone, she can sense the disturbances they make with each and every step

Poisonous Saliva:

  • A racial ability that all female Desert Mau Neko’s seem to possess, however upon further investigation, we discovered that some females have a more powerful poison then others do

  • We have dubbed it “The Widow's Kiss”; it is purple poisonous saliva that is extremely potent and has the potential to kill a full-grown man with ease if too much is ingested at once. (As one of our unlucky guards found out.)

  • We watched as that poor helpless sod was captured and quickly overwhelmed by 3 female Desert Neko guards. As we watched in horror and… curiosity, our team learned that the species transmits the poison via a kiss! They kissed him about 5 times before he stopped struggling and they deemed him dead. Upon further analysis, each kiss made that poor sod weaker and weaker until he eventually ceased all movements! One even seemed to offer an antidote if he were to expose his intentions, but he chose to die a hero rather than give us all up… His death was not in vain however as we learned how many times the human body can survive an onslaught of their poison! 1 kiss leaves the body feeling fatigued, 2 kisses leaves the body feeling warm and heavy, 3 kisses leaves the body completely exhausted, 4 kisses fully paralyses the body and the 5th and final kiss ceases all vital functions in the body, leaving the person dead

  • As of right now, the Empire has no cure for the poison and we have no way of understanding how they remotely cure it in such a fast and efficient manner. All we learned is that the males of the race are unaffected by their poison, females have the ability to cure their poison and the poison itself has very peculiar properties that make it addictive to the human mind as well! More research is needed… I’m going to need a bigger team…

Personality:

Dictatorial:

Although the term “Dictatorial” is not a personality trait in itself, it’s a very accurate term to describe the newly crowned Pharaoh as a whole. Mo’at is a woman who loves power; she has always loved the concept, the feeling of absolute authority and the thought of her entire nation submitting to her will with just one snap of a finger. Nothing feels more satisfying to the Pharaoh when she makes a demand and her loyal subjects follow without question. Luckily for the power hungry Neko, her entire race has always been fond of a Dictatorial leading style. All she really had to do was defeat the current Pharaoh in Ritualistic Combat and the throne was hers, and as you all already know, Mo’at defeated the previous ruler and gained full control of the throne following the battle to the death.
After becoming Pharaoh, Mo’at not only gained full access to the tribe’s lifestyle, food supply, water supply and list of “rights”; she also immediately gained the respect and love of most, if not all of her new loyal subjects in an instant. Many of her subjects will follow her orders and commands without question… buuuut some of them don’t always agree with her motives and goals, some even going so far as to step out of line with their new ruler! Mo’at doesn’t take to kindly to this “rebellious” little attitude very well and has been known to execute some of her subjects on the spot for challenging her. The Pharaoh of a Desert Mau Neko Tribe has complete and absolute authority over their respective tribe, if someone won’t submit to Mo’at’s absolutely authority of their own accord; she will make them succumb to her will… by any means necessary.

Ruthless:

The female Pharaoh is many things, but compassionate and caring is not one of them. Mo’at is a ruthless dictator who cares very little for the well-being of others or her loyal subjects, as long as she is not affected herself; the sad tales or misfortunes of others mean very little to her. As far as Mo’at is concerned, as long as her subjects do their jobs, submit to her will and find a way to keep themselves happy, she is satisfied. This is very reflective when she finds someone she takes an interest in and part of the reason she struggles to actually connect with other people. Mo’at is selfish and doesn’t care about what others want… she only wants to feel dominant and have others care for her, not the other way around. This has led to a lot of possible relationships being destroyed as Mo’at demands 100/0 of the effort, all the effort coming from her partner respectively. With that being said however, there is one creature that Mo’at truly cares about: Apep. The giant gleaming serpent is the only other living thing in Shikari that Mo’at actually cares about and worries about on a regular basis, but this is coming from a relationship where both of them had to always stay by one another’s side at all times. Their close knit behaviour wasn’t always like this, there was a time where Mo’at hated Apep and didn’t dare speak to him out of petty frustration. This quickly changed however when the World Scale was in the process of being stolen by a particular intruder by the name of… Azura, the succubus had all but defeated Nirvana’s chosen guardian, but in the final confrontation, Apep took a critical blow to shield Mo’at and nearly died in the process. With that being said, that near sacrifice bought Mo’at enough time to open up a sinkhole underneath the succubus’s feet and drag her under the desert sand, where she was promptly spat out far away from the Pyramid. Following the battle, Mo’at moved the pyramid from sight and treated the deathly wounded Cobra; her perspective of him forever changing.

Wary and Assumptious:

“Listen well subjects, for your Pharaoh will only say this once! I may not care for your well-being and your individual situations at hand… But that doesn’t mean I don’t care for your safety! The outside world is filled with unknown dangers and creatures alike and my first and only priority is to keep our already diminishing race safe!” – Mo’at Nafare, 30 minutes after the Ritualistic Combat

Unlike her outward demeanor that would lead you to believe the Pharaoh is a heartless ruler, Mo’at is actually quite the wary and cautious person, though her subjects would never know this. When Mo’at is hailed from different continents or nations in the Realm, she is usually very uncertain about making contact with them as the Pharaoh is unsure about what threat they could pose to her and her people. This normally explains why Mo’at is so quick to assume the worst of everyone who intrudes on her territory or even worse, the World Scale (Just ask AirGuitarSolo ‘s Dallas or WriteWebs ‘s Scylla). Most encounters lead to the intruder’s inevitable capture, following a rigged trial that only Mo’at runs and then finally leading to the intruder being deemed guilty and being forced to accept a punishment of Mo’at’s design. This can range from “spending time with the Pharaoh” to “immediate execution on the spot”. Interestingly enough however, Mo’at seems to have a softer side for females then she does males; if a female prisoner is deemed guilty, she is more likely to be toyed around with by the dominant Pharaoh then a male prisoner would be. What makes this assumptious behaviour so very dangerous is that Mo’at doesn’t normally realize that half of the time, these prisoners were arrested unlawfully! They are usually just in the wrong place at the wrong time and are arrested because they trespassed on the tribes Territory (or worse). The ones who are toyed with… besides feeling ashamed of their lustful want of Mo’at are usually free to go but the ones who are executed… well; they can’t exactly walk away now can they?

Likes:

  • They say surfing the ocean’s waves is an experience like no other, but have you ever thought about surfing through the desert? Effortlessly gliding through the sand as you travel up and down dunes? Most people would scoff at such a ludicrous thought, but Mo’at has the ability to traverse the large desert she calls home in such a manner. “Sand Gliding” the Pharaoh calls it; thanks to her Geo-Kinesis she is able to manipulate the sand around her feet in order to effortlessly glide through the desert at a relatively fast pace. This hobby of hers is one of the rare reasons she leaves her small empire for a time, the freedom and the near surreal feeling Sand Gliding brings to the Pharaoh is unmatched in her eyes

  • As mentioned earlier, Mo’at and Apep are extremely close with one another and spend most, if not all their time with one another. Ever since Apep nearly killed himself in a desperate attempt to save his owner from the hands of Azura, the Pharaoh and her giant pet cobra have been inseparable. Apep is truly the one creature in all the Erriona Sanctum that Mo’at would be lost without, not just because of the power her Cobra wields but because he is the first and only real companion the Pharaoh has…

  • The final and more notable hobby Mo’at is known for throughout her desert empire would be her sandstone carving; the ability to terraform sandstone at her leisure has become quite a fun activity in her eyes! What makes this hobby all the more entertaining is that she can sculpt relatively realistic looking people in sandstone! Making them look as if they were petrified prisoners trapped in her throne room that tried to escape. Now of course we all know what Mo’at uses her petrification for, but her subjects and more importantly, outsiders don’t know what she does! This is a prime example of Mo’at using fear as a way to instill submission and acceptance of her position

Dislikes:

  • The outside world, although I would not call this an immediate dislike. The reason Mo’at is unsure about the world outside of her desert home is because she knows next to nothing about it. It’s true she has been hailed by the Shorin-Zukiri and Braeva Continents for diplomatic talks, but she is unable to figure out their intentions! Are they a threat? Do they seek an alliance? Is this a ploy to get to the World Scale? There are just so many questions Mo’at doesn’t have answers too and that is unsettling, as much as she would love to forge an alliance that would most likely prove useful… the risk is far too great with such little information.  After all, Mo’at’s top priority is her race’s survival and letting an unknown empire walk into your front door isn’t always the best idea.

  • This could come as a surprise to some, but Mo’at actually finds displeasure in killing, especially if it's her own race:

“Mo’at my dear… why are you holding an execution for thisss man…? What could he have done to ssspark your wrath?” *The serpent asked his owner as his loose coils, squeezed protectively around parts of the Pharaoh’s form* “He challenged my authority Apep; He called my vision flawed, worthless… weak.” *The Pharaoh spoke softly, frustration straining her voice* “You dissslike killing do you not?” *The serpent now bringing his hooded head around to meet Mo’at’s own* “I do… especially if I must kill my own… but I need to make an example Apep; our last Pharaoh nearly led us down a path of self-destruction. I cannot allow my people to continue with that wretched mindset he left in his wake. If I must kill to get my vision across… so be it. I will do whatever it takes to protect the last remnants of my race.”

Values:

It’s unclear whether or not Desert Mau Nekos all share a similar set of values and cultures (as we have only observed one of the two tribes.) But it appears that many of them believe that only the strongest of the tribe can make genuine change in their society and also be the only one fit to rule over said society. From our findings it appears that the old Pharaoh that once ruled over the tribe we were studying was thinking of cutting off trade and communications with the other Neko tribe in the desert, “For the greater good” it seemed, when in reality, he was systematically dooming both tribes in the process. With that being said however a much younger Neko had challenged the older Pharaoh and presumably beat him, claiming the thrown for her own. Returning the old trade routes and communication immediately with the other tribe in question, saving their race from extinction.

- Willman Arter, 3rd Scholar of the Braeven Empire

Her Role:

Mo’at has 3 roles she must adhere too:

    - As the chosen of Nirvana and Guardian of the World Scale, she must protect the legendary Relic at all costs, even if it costs Mo’at her life

    - As Pharaoh of the Neferenn, Mo’at has sworn to protect and value her people’s traditions and values. Promising her race that she will make them a great civilisation once again

    - As one of the only 3 Desert Geo-Kinesis users in all the Erriona Sanctum, Mo’at must find someone to teach this legendary ability to, lest the ability dies with time

Major Fears:

    - Losing Apep

    - Being invaded

Personal Quote: ""I'll give you three options.....1...2...or 3? Choose wisely..."

Mo'at Nafare: "Listen well my new subjects, for i will only say this once, I do not care for your kinks, your absurd fetishes or even you overall well being... Unless you bring grave news to my throne room, do not bother to approach me."
