Description
here is my full mid 14th century medieval armor. I got my leg armor only a week later but you will have pictures of it this incoming weekendthe armor consists of :
- primitive bascinet circa 1330-1360
- splinted arm armor circa 1330-1360
- corrazina on the chest. 1360 and onwards.
- charle de blois type gambison circa 1360.
- front leg plate armor. circa 1350 over leg padding (not shown here)
- hourglass type gauntlets. 1350 and onwards.
all of this is combat ready with at least 2mm steel. the whole kit is about 20- 22 kg. add 12 kg more if I put on the riveted chainmail I have if I really wanted to be time period accurate.

It is cool indeed, and no worries, I never wear the chainmail with the rest. It is manageable on its on, but combined with the coat of plates pieces it gets cumbersome, as the chainmail is too large for me.

yep. Heat is the first pain before the weight. You need to drink often, and you have to remember to breath when fighting if you go directly under the sun with the helmet, it can climb up to 60°C easily under the helm.

thanks. trying to be as 1360 as possible need a little work still for the tabard to have one more appropriate. when I can afford it a proper sword belt as those are expensive. and when I will earn then, my spurs
