Description Ye this is what i like to do when im not doing the other thing i do >_>

Ermm kinda old id say finished a few months ago, gotta test the waters again soon.

But ye this probalby a fairly well known image, but i wanted to work on pencil shading ability, particularly with fur and the details and pattern in there was quite nice so i decided to give it a shot.

Kinda stopped short of finishing it and concentrated on teh center as a focal point. So teh sides are a bit incomplete.

Still like to get some advice on improving my still life if possible.

You have a good knack for shading and I admire the fact you stuck to it until you felt like calling it finished. =o
the only advice I can give about still life (which you probably already know) is don't just do still like for the sake of doing it; do it to learn from life as in being able to draw features more accurately etc etc blah blah, that kind of boring stuff.

True thats what i strive for.

Ye i tried my best, but i think i concentrated alot on teh features that called to me, mainly the face areas. The area surrounding it is a bit vague.

But i did this still life cause I liked teh emotion conveyed in it. So I should be critical of accuracy instead of just doing it? I generally tend to be pretty hard up on gettin as close a match as possbile to teh original.

Spleee XP

thanx, I usually like to jump around with my art, when i get bored or frustrated with what im currently doing.

I also like animals, so i usually like to find photos where we can relate to them i guess.

The faces and emotion in it is what attracted me to draw this one.
