One of my char. concepts for teh fightclub/battleroyalThis is one of members for my group of Hallway Monitors. Ye i knows sounds a bit hokey and it started out as a gag in my head as well. Until i finally started seeing the characters and uniform designs for it that i finally decided that i needed to put this on paper.
As for my group, they will serve as a sort of law enforcement/ peacekeepers for school and so will wear regulation uniforms, with slight modifications by each member.
This is my first design and a bit messy also had problems figuring out teh jacket to put on so I just did a jacketless version as a proof of concept. I didnt want to contrast too much in photoshop levels menu so as to preserve the shading on his undershirt. Also I hadn't done a good pencil shading in a while and thought this be a good opportunity to play with it again. Not to mention it also improved my male faces designs abit. As of now a new version with the overcoat uniform and char bio
should be comin up soon. Hopefully..

Ye, the palm of his hands need a bit more detail. As for talents its just alotta careful observations on anatomy on my part.
I've also seen your pictures and their extremely detailed, with some nice subtleys in shading, I'd love to do someting like that as well.

Your proportions seem a little off in this one. Mostly the abs compared to the chest. The arms fit the chest pretty well, and the head seems just a little small, but not a lot. The legs are most likely still in the process, but it is a really good go. I can't wait to see the finished piece.

Hmm..maybe it might be off. Or could be just asthetical differences between us. Cause i was hoping to produce a more heavy set design with a hamfisted quality seen in Capcom fighting games, which is why the head might be on teh smallish side as eveything looks scaled up.

Nothing to forgive really, obviously were working with a medium where theres no true right answer to anything. But if u do spot something amiss its always best to bring it up instead of just leaving things be.

Heh, thanx thats what i wanted and i was worried wouldn't let my idea fly. As they don't fit the profile of a gang. But after talkin to him about it was ok.
As for the design its missing the jacket and sash. Once i figure that out I should have a final completed uniform design for my group.

I don't ye I've gotten that pretty boy vibe after showing it to a friend as well. I actually wanted to go for the look given to some of teh capcom fighting games, with designs emphasizing muscular and defined ham-fisted characters. Ye probably should look over teh face a bit more to see what i can change heh.

Well, i wanted him lazy as in don't care for the job sort. Though im wondering if this is just a regular school or somekinda specialized martial arts one.
