Well, I have never done a SW painting, so this is my tribute to the Empire and to Star Wars. The AT - AT heading towards the rebel base on Hoth (huge fan of SW, btw). This was particularly different because of the atmosphere that the snow causes, I mean that the light behaves in other way. The snow reflects the light so the shading is not that strong and changes of value.The AT - AT surface is quite opaque so it doesn't reflect too much light so there is the hard part of this... the snow reflects light but the AT - AT don't.
well, I think that I managed that ok... or at least that's what I think.

Nice painting! I especially like how the snow came out. The low contrast of the snow looks very natural.
I'd been wondering for some time about how to paint snow, since it is so reflective. This picture really helps me out.
