Well the dimensions are really up to you since there is nothing official out there but I made it about 6 feet long if I remember correctly.
You can see in this size comparison that it's quite large (I'm 6 foot 2 inches and the rifle was slightly shorter than me)

its all 1/4" MDF wood and a few pieces of PVC pipe
