Description
Dun Garok . . . once a stronghold of the Stormpike clan, now serves as the base of operations for the Feralgear Assassins . . . While their leader Sally Gyroleaf awaits the return of the Soutshore Brigade leadership, storm clouds begin to gather . . . the very sky roars in rage . . . Sally feels that something is about to happen. . .Feralgear Scout: "Lady Gyroleaf! The Forsaken gather outside the fortress!"
Sally had a concerned look on her face, as if she had known.
Feralgear Scout: "my lady?"
Sally: "This is not a battle that can be won. . ."
Feralgear Scout: "What?"
Sally: "Begin evacuating all personnel, use the tunnels to reach the secondary outpost in Durnholde, from there send word to all our allies . . ."
Feralgear Scout: "What about you my lady?"
Sally turned away. . .
Sally: "I shall remain here and hold them back. . ."
Feralgear Scout: "You can't be serious! You can't take them all! You'll be slaughtered!!
Sally's eyes began to glow blood red. . .
Sally: "YOU HAVE YOUR ORDERS PRIVATE!!!"
the scout back away a bit. . .
Sally sighed
Sally: "Call it a hunch, but I think its me they are after. . .they should not pursue the rest of our forces . . . now please . . .go."
Feralgear Scout: "Of course my lady."
The scout saluted her, then made for the loudspeaker. . .her forces would escape. . .she then turned around and Vos sat in front of her, as if he knew she was staying.
She kneeled down and patted him gently.
Sally: "You need to go with them boy. . .you can't stay here. . .if you were to die at their hand, I would never be able to forgive myself. . ."
She began to make for the gate when Vos bit down on her cloak, trying to prevent her from leaving . . . she began to cry.
Sally: "I'm sorry Vos. . .you have to leave. . ."
She kneeled down before him and hugged him.
Sally: "I'll be fine, I promise you . . . now go. . .please."
She let him go . . . he turned towards the escape tunnels then looked back. . .he shed a tear, then turned back and ran for the tunnels. . .
Sally: "May the Light guide them all to safety. . ."
She wiped the tears from her eyes, took a deep breath, and made for the entrance of the fortress . . . cold rain was pouring from the skies above. . .the forsaken army covered the ground like grass . . .
Dreadguard: "THERE SHE IS!!! ATTACK FOR THE GLORY OF SYLVANAS!!!"
she closed her eyes. . .she inhaled. . .then with a roar of defiance, she charged straight for the forsaken front. . .they seemed confused. . .but that didn't last long.
Her blades were drawn. . .and with a single swipe, brought down three dreadguards, she then drew her bow, and shot down two more . . . the fighting lasted for hours . . .and one by one the forsaken fell to her might . . . until finally, their bodies littered the ground. . .
Sally was panting heavily.
Sally: "*huff* *huff* *huff* it is over. . ."
Just then. . .a rider approached. . .the rider stopped a several feet away and dismount his steed. . .he turned to face the gnomish ranger . . . It was Dalwryn Lenithal. . .
Her eyes widened as the forsaken ranger approached her. . .
Dalwryn: "Sally Gyroleaf I presume. . ."
he said with a vile grin
Sally said nothing. . .
Dalwryn: "Whats the matter? Do I frighten you?"
She said nothing.
Dalwryn: "Good. . .now make this easy on yourself and surrender. . ."
Sally's eyes narrowed. . .and she charged the undead. . .he grabbed her by the neck in mid flight. . .
Dalwryn: "So you choose to do this the hard way. . .very well. . ."
He punched her five times in the gut, then threw her into the side of the fortress with all of his might.
She let out a scream of pain as she hit the wall, then fell to the ground.
Dalwryn looked down at the gnome as he began to approach her with a wicked grin on his face. . .
Dalwryn: "Your tired little one. . .and weak!"
Sally looked up, she coughed up some blood. . .she smirked. . .
Sally: "I'm strong enough. . .*huff* to beat you!"
she jumped towards Dalwryn, and with a mighty kick sent him flying back into a tree. . .she then charged the undead again, eyes glowing with rage. . .
Dalwryn then readied his crossbow, and shot a bolt right at her. . .hitting her in the shoulder. . .she tripped. . .
as she looked up, her vision began to blur . . . she had been poisoned. . .
Dalwryn: "The poison won't kill you. . .but you'll be knocked out long enough for me to take you back to Tarren Mill. . .there you will be held prisoner along with that lich, some dwarves, a couple of gnomes, some worgen, and a few high elves who thought they could infiltrate our forces. . ."
her eyes widened, the high elven spies had been caught. . .
Dalwryn: "The magi who led them and a few of his troops are still free though. . .and yes I know their high elves as well. They will be dealt with once this is over and the foothills are back under forsaken control. . .as for you. . .you will be used as an instrument to crush the high elves hopes for a future. . .as their leader joins the ranks of the sin'dorei to save your wretched little life!" he began to laugh maniacally at the situation. and before Sally could say anything . . . she began to black out . . . the last thing she heard was the cackling of this light forsaken monster. . .
It would seem as if the young gnome has been taken by the forsaken. . .will she survive? only time will tell. . .stay tuned. . .

Just out of bone-headed curiosity, how the heck was a single gnome able to take down an entire battalion? It would make sense if she had some artifact to help her, or if she was possessed by a friendly demon, but from what I read, she had nothing but her usual weapons.

the answer to that is the forsaken's need for cannon fo . . . i mean recruits, bringing poorly trained troops or even civilians back from the dead and giving them a uniform and not bothering to train them due to the demand for more soldiers brought on by the Brigades push in Hillsbrad, that and her prior experience in the second and third wars as well as the various conflicts across Azeroth following the third war (gnomes have longer life spans Β then humans from what I've read). Basically her ability to take down an entire forsaken battalion came from years of fighting foes much larger then herself, taking advantage of her smaller size to out maneuver her enemies.

. . . that won't stop her . . . the only way to survive is NOT to piss her off . . . or be on the opposing side

I choose the opposing side, since I have a tendency to piss most people off.

I meant this part
"Dalwryn: "The poison won't kill you. . .but you'll be knocked out long enough for me to take you back to Tarren Mill. . .there you will be held prisoner along with that lich, some dwarves, a couple of gnomes, some worgen, and a few high elves who thought they could infiltrate our forces. ."
But fair enough
