However, I see some white 'leftovers' between the fringes of his...hair? (idk) And from far away, it's kinda hard to see him with that background. May I recommend either a highlight or some filter to the colors?

Well, there are white stuff in between the fringes (the ones touching the background)
And by highlight and filter, I meant to the background. Like say...change the background to a different background or simply darken/lighten it. From far away, Knuckles looks like the rest of his body blends in with it.

I think he looks very cool with those shiny things! So just don't bother her....That women really have to learn more about shading...But when I campared with you and her shading, I thought yours was better!So don't worry^_^
