1 of my final pieces for my water exam at AS level. as much as it annoys me at times im submittin a colour version and bw one. i prefer bw one but id like 2 know thoughts, i think each one has its place.Related content

dave, this is nice, but i like it in black and white....
i would suggest though that you investigate converting colour to black and white cos you could keep those nice tones if you tweaked it right
make a channel mixer adjustment layer over your image and tick the 'monotone' box. and then fiddle about with the seperate channels... try and get all the channels to add up to around 100% (e.g. R20 G40 B40,or summit like that) it doesnt have to be exactly 100 but anything else will just be darker or lighter
you could also do it with hue/saturation but its not as flexible

yeah i know... i like the b+w one... i was just pointing out that there is a nicer range of tones in this pic, cos of the colours
if you mucked about with channels you could change how they looked in b+w, i was just suggesting some experimentation
btw maxfield showed us your work and he sounded pretty confident that you'd get an A

still good in colour,but with alot of photos,b and w deffinitely has more impact, especially coz ud relate crying to something sad, so u want the pic to seem dark too.
