And yet, something was clearly happening. Whatever they did to him... He's seeing all these things, and it's all changing. He's changing.
Imagine a world of monsters so advanced and terrible. They are like technology that has broken the barriers of understanding and become the arcane arts, that is, magic, itself. Inorganic and organic, living and dead, all these start to mix into a dizzying soup... and he's being forced to drown in it... drown and die to become something else...

It's changing his body and mind, he can tell. But he can't stop it.
