Hey Guys been a while!These are two lil chara's that I'm developing!
Sorry for the bad pic, I'm not at home so I don't have access to my scanner and my phone camera kinda sucks...
But anyway this is Aiko and her grandfather Osamu, I'm currently drawing and coloring them digitally and hope to get that up as soon as possible, I'm about hlaf way done, it's taking way longer than I expected!
I'll upload stuff in between so here's their concept sketch for now, I love these lil guys!!
To put into perspective Aiko is approx 11cm and Osamu is approx 15cm tall.

You know, when it comes to original art, you have such interesting ideas, and they are pretty much always well executed. Same goes for those characters. I really like the simplistic style you used here, it seems very focused on the important details that make these OCs unique. Their facial features also convey lots of personality, as well as their clothing.
This iconicity is something many artists fail to achieve. As someone who is obsessed with character design as a subject, I'd certainly like to see more of your OCs, since I really like these two.

Well, if I'm already posting harsh comments I can leave nice ones as well. But, more importantly, it gave me an opportunity to praise your original stuff. You haven't posted that much of it, but if you did I always liked it. You mentioned somewhere you will post some of the pictures you're drawing for art school. I'm looking forward to it.
Btw, this is not supposed to prevent you from drawing fanart. I just prefer original art over fanart in general (can't explain why now) and want to encourage you to do more of it since you show lots of talent in that regard.
Oh, and thanks for taking so much time to write all these comments! My responses will probably just be a bunch of stupidly long paragraphs rambling and expressing thoughts. Feel free to ignore them I guess.

I wish I had worked on more original work by now but I suppose
I can take this summer to do that! Yeah since I've got college the
year after next, I need to work on my portfolio so I just decided I'd post
the work I do! Yeah that's perfectly understandable and whoa thank you
