sweetie, I'm way ahead of you. Not only have I graduated high school, but I graduated from college too! December 2005...how fun is that? I'm all finished! Of course I'm debating whether or not to go to Graduate School...but I'm only 22, so I think I have enough time to decide! For now, I'm just working and saving up money so I can move out on my own and get married! (I'm already engaged!) Sooo...yeah, that's that.

don't feel young. I mean, you are, but you're at a tremendously wonderful part of your life. You have plans for the future, and your future looks bright! I say you stick to your plans, and don't change them unless you absolutely have to. So many people waste time, wandering aimlessly in life with no direction. Then in the end they look back and wonder what happened. I'm so happy to hear that you have direction. Forgive me for preaching, but I just feel you need as much encouragement as possible! Keep doing the right thing!
As for me....I'd really love to get into the Criminal Justice industry. I got my Bachelors degree in Sociology and Psychology. My emphasis was on Crime and Deviance. The criminal mind is fascinating. I would love to be a Profiler or a Forensic Investigator of some kind. There are so many things that one can do within the Criminal Justice industry, one just has to find their own niche. You know? I'm going to hold of a year or so before going to Graduate school, though. I didn't take a break between highschool and college, like some people do. So I've been in school pretty much my entire life. Now I just want to live for a while. So that's what I'm going to do!
Have you ever thought of learning Japanese, and then going to Japen and teaching English? I think that would be awesome!!!

*gasp* I was going to go into criminal justice before I changed my mind to be a teacher. I'm still taking Criminal Justice and Technology I and !! next year anyways.
I would love to teach English in Japan, but I don't think I could bear to leave my family...

understandable, about not wanting to leave your family...but I think it's awesome that you had a previous interest in the criminal justice industry. It's not for everybody, though. Teachers are just as important! Especially language teachers, in my opinion. They can teach culture to the children of our future!

hey, do I seem the type who listens to rap? Helloooo...I love Sarah Brightman and can't even begin to think of rap. It's all a bunch of gibberish with no melodies and annoying beats. Sarah's music has transformed the way I listen to music. I don't dare force myself to listen to anything else!

I agree, she truly has transformed my taste of music as well. I used to listen to rap, actually *is ashamed* But then, I used to live in a bad neighborhood (drugs, drive-bys and the like) But then I moved here, to a nicer neighborhood...began a new life (I'd tell you, I just don't like putting my life's details on the net for everyone to see, lol) And I saw Phantom (the movie) and through that, I discovered Sarah and turned my musical preferences around. Every now and then I hear a rap song and it takes me back to the past *le sigh...is in nostalgic dreamland*

Wow...that's quite a story. It was somewhat different for me (me falling in love with Sarah, that is.) I was in high school, and I was working for this nature-like store in one of my local malls. They sold everything from music and DVD's to wind chimes and garden stuff to shirts and other clothing...and toys for kids...and other such natural stuff. Why we even had some genuine fossils that you could buy if you had the money and really wanted to get them! Anyway, it was a really nifty store. I'd heard about the phantom before, and was a big fan of the music. I just didn't know that Sarah had a separate career. Then I discovered her at this place. We would play her CD's and DVD's all day (along with other people, like Loreena McKennit and Andrea Bocelli) Her voice just captured my heart and soul. My first CD was La Luna. It had just come out at the time (2000-2001 or something like that) and I was just soooo happy. I don't think I listened to anything else but that CD for the longest time.
ANYWAY. Before Sarah I went through various musical phases. I've always loved classical music because I am a musician. (I play the piano and violin, and I sing soprano) When I was really really young, I went through a brief country music phase. I still shudder at the thought of that. But I was really really young. I need to emphasize that!!! But for the most part, I like most pop music, and some rock, oldies, and even a bit of techno! So...yeah...that's that.

*gasp* I play violin too!! For lessee...this is my sixth year. 've kind of dropped out of the school band, because the teacher is a jerk, but I still go to practice afterschool so I can go to the Carowinds competitions, lol. I was a country listener too, when I was in early elementary. Late elementary was pop (Spice Girls had just come out-sadly, I was a huge fan) and of course there was Britney Spears. And to think I once called that music....
I had actually been listening Sarah since I was five without realizing it. My mom went to see the stage production of Phantom once, and brought home an original cast recording. I loved if for a while...but then I lost interest until recently...until fate brought us back together again, lol. My first CS was the Haram World Tour: Live from Vegas. LOVE IT! ^^

I played the violin for eight years, and then in highschool I had to choose between orchestra and chior. Of course, I wanted to develop my voice more and continue to sing, so I quit orchestra. Then my orchestra director started being a jerk...I don't want to get into details about what happened. Needless to say, I was thrown out of choir my senior year. Yeah. That stung, because I gave up my passion for the violin just to sing, and then I had to quit singing. I mean, I still sing at church and what not. Everybody tells me I need to join the church choir and that I have a beautiful voice. But I haven't really used my voice that much lately for singing, and so I would need to be re-trained.
Anyway...I think it's interesting that you've been listening to Sarah for so long without even realizing it! I think I had a similar story to yours, about hearing the pto recording without really knowing that it was her. See? I told you we had things in common!
Anyway...I'd write more, but I worked all day and I'm really tired. Take care! I'll "talk" to you later!

You are now entering the Twilight Zone, lol.
I would love to sing. I mean, I do love to sing, but I have such terrible stage fright that I could never take a class of get up in front of a choir and sing. My stage fright is so bad, I nearly passed out this year at Mock Trial competition whilst giving my opening statement. It was AWFUL. But I'll tell you, I'm a diva in my car! XD
I am sorry to hear that you got kicked out because of a jerky director. That's why I quit band. Our teacher complains about people talking, but when I hush this one girl who talks all the time, I get in trouble, because she's his favorite. It sucks! As much a passion to you as it sounds like, you should get back into it ^^

It was somewhat different with my choir director...you see, he didn't like the people I was hanging out with, and thought that they were influencing me in a bad way. He accused me of not being dedicated enough to my choir, among other things, and then told me he didn't want me to sing for him again. Well, I told my mother, who brought it to the attention of our school princepal. We had a group meeting, and my director acted like a totally innocent angel, like he didn't do anything, and that he really truly wanted me to sing for him. He made me sound like a bloody fool, but the princepal saw right through him. That year he threatened to fire the director, but his dedicated students heard about it and passed around a petition to keep him. Turns out a year or so later, he did get fired from my highschool. That made me very very happy...until I found out that he got hired as choir director of the university I was attending. I saw him several times, and avoided him. Then one time I couldn't avoid him, and he smiled at me and patted me on the shoulder and gave me the cheeriest hello. If I wasn't surrounded by hundreds of students and professors I would haved killed him on the spot. The bloody bastard. Pardon me for saying that.\
ANYWAY. That's the short version of the story. It has many more details, that are long and complicated, but you get the gist.
Sooooo...there are allot of bad musical directors out there. End of story!
I'm still a diva in my car, too! And other places...like when we're having a slow day at work, and a song comes on that I like, I'll sing along to it really softy and kinda dance around. I'm sure my co-workers must think I'm crazy. If you're wondering what I do, I work at Dillard's (a department store) in one of my local malls. I'm in the Kids department! It's such a fun job, I love it!
Anyway, I'm going to shut up now 'cause I've written WAY too much! Take care sweetie!

No pardon needed. Many a time I have called our band director a bastard...just not to his face...But I swear, if I hear one more "Well, when I was in the Navy band...etc, etc" I just might have to kill him too.
Your principal sounds cool. Unlike ours, who expelled my best friend's prom date two days before prom. Jerk.
I'm a diva mostly in the car...At hime I sing...but I'm a little more subtle about it. I'm so shy I want a job so badly. I receive Social Security each month, and I have strict rules. One of which is no getting a job. >_<; Or they'll tak my money away. No job I could get would give me the same amount each month that SS gives me, so I'm stuck jobless. And poor.
As for writing too much, I always feel kind of bad you respnses are like, 3 times the length of mine. I should write more!

Drew it? Noooooo nonononono...It's only a simple photomanipulation. Unlike you, I can't draw to save my life! LOL, I have to rely on PhotoShop. I wish I could draw, but alas *puts back of hand to forehead* I was not gifted that way. *sob* No, only kidding. I didn't draw it, but it was made with <3, and that's all that matters, right? LOL, glad you liked it. Thanks for the +fav! ^^
