As Oemae wandered deep into the cavern, she noticed the dead end ahead of her. It was crazy dark, but her uniform's stripes quickly flickered to a faint glow. That's when the scuttling sound echoed, and the egg tube was jammed into her mouth. I like how she seems only mildly surprised or disappointed. Like her research had suggested the eggs and fluids being pumped into her should taste much better than this.
It's still a wonderful time, but the taste isn't what she was hoping for.
