I suppose it is a very special and genuinely Chinese talent to combine a death-bringing weapon with the finest aesthetics - gorgeous, your portrait of this swordsman!
I appreciate this kind of Asian art because it is something we do not have in Europe. In European paintings warriors are warriors and nothing else; there is no spiritual or intellectual dimension in handling a weapon (sword or rapier).
