Another 'black family portrait' only this one doesn't have their parents as we know nothing about them and I just wanted one of the thee of them.Will put up a detail of this in the scraps section later.
Um, lessee, tried to make Bella look like a haughty b**** , tried to make Narcissa look easily influenced, and tried to make Andromeda look nice and comfortable in her own skin.
Unlike Sirius, I don't think she was allthat uncomfortable with her family (after all, she DID name her own child Nymphadora which is a very 'pureblood' type name.)

And you are so right about andromeda. So many portray her as a shy huffelpuff or ravebclaw and forget that she is confident slytherin and a black who knows what she wants

I find it interesting that Bella and Andromeda resemble each other in this drawing, even though Jo Rowling didn't say that until the seventh book (2 years after you posted this). What a nice coincidence!

Andromeda seems a bit bigger than the others, which doesn't make sense since she's further back, but other than that, absolutely lovely-- the faces look very realistic (Bellatrix, frighteningly, looks like someone I know). Very nice shading work, too. I'm favoriting this. <3s Black family . . .

Very cool! I think you did the expressions quite nicely! Perhaps just add a bit more contrast to the whole thing; maybe one of them could be wearing a dark dress or something. It all looks very mid-grey to me

Thanks. Yeah, it is a bit gray, but I'm afraid I won't be working on it anymore, as when I get to a certain point with drawings I get put out with them and don't want to work on them ever again. Bad habit, I know

Oh yeah, I can relate to that. I've only edited just one drawing in my whole life just to see the improvement. Usually after finishing something I just don't even want to do that style anymore, for a long time.
