Andromeda Tonks from the Harry Potter seires.She's been a bit forgotten, I think, so I felt compelled to do a piece of her, mourning for her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and perhaps even her awful sister.
I figure that when her grandson Teddy's asleep (didn't feel like drawing a clueless baby, but will in the future.), and no is around to see her, she lets herself become a wreck.
Completely digital drawing. Hadn't done one of those in a while.

it actually made me sick to consider that narcissa, who's husband gave a soul sucking diary to a little girl, served a monster. who's son is an idiot who claims his father's line is superior yet is shorter than his mothers line as well as french and lead mass murderiors into a school.
and in the end, Narcissa has a whole family.
still, if we decided who lived and who died on the basis of popularity. well we would be monster would we not?

I love andromeda! My first fic was about her - over time she has learned that her eyes can change colour if she concentrates (metamorphmagus as a recessive gene?!) and they turn dark blue without prompting when she most misses her daughter. She hates looking in the mirror and seeing the traces of Bellatrix that Harry saw.
... and I feel like you've drawn the lady I have in my head. This is so beautiful.

Poor Andromeda, she lost the most out of anyone in stories, well except for those poor souls you didnβt survive, but still you canβt help but feel for her. She may have gotten Teddy, but she lost most of the rest of her family, all because of F#*%king Voldermort, his Deatheaters and their stupid genocidal campaign.

WoW I can't believe I didn't realize that. Though you're right Andromeda has the biggest lost from the war of all. She reminds me of Susan Surandon role in the Lovely Bones. I don't know if it's just the hair or not. Though it's a very sad piece.

I love it. Andromeda isn't even mentioned in the 7th book after her child and husband die. She deserves some love. Thank you.

omg.. this is so. powerful. I agree - Andromeda was completely forgotten! She lots both her husband and daughter, not to mention her son-in-law. She's left to care for poor little Teddy all on her own. What was JK Rowling thinking to bestow SO MUCH grief on one family. ahhh.. like it wasn't bad enough for Harry to lose both parents - his godson loses both of his own parents and his grandfather.

Poor,poor Andromeda. She lost almost everything in the space of a couple of months.
And yeah, she was forgotten. I think one of the things DH lacked was an aftermath to the Battle of Hogwarts, dealing with things like this....

She's beautiful. And I agree, where did her mourning go? Jo had disappointed me with that one.
And I think you did a really good job of making her look like Bella's sister in particular. You can see similarites.

I want to cry now, you forget just how much she lost...really. She lost her whole family support when she married Ted, had a little girl and both of them died in the space of what...5 months? Now that's what I call pain.
Atleast she had Teddy, I'm sure he was a great grandson I mean, he has Remus's genes without Remus's curse, and her daughters hair. Perfect eh?
