Yeah, their dynamic inspired me a bit. First that Tonks with the Umbrella piece, now this.This is a scene we didn't see, but I imagined. At one point or another Remus must have said something like 'we can't be together... I'm old... and poor... and a werewolf... and [insert lame sad reasons here]" This happened after the train station, before Harry next saw Tonks crying etc. I like this one alot.
Especially the expressions. I imagine Remus not being able to look her in the eye which saying this.

Nice! Tonks looks very real, like she's expecting the worst and being let down hard. And also cold. Remus should hand her the coat at the other end of the table, but in the process he might just break his heart.

well you're obviously not a fan of the books and just an obsessed fangirl if you hate tonks so much. she's cool and she's funny and she tells it like it is. remus made all these excuses about not being able to be with her but he wanted to be with her. this is obvious from the scene in the hospital wing where everyone was watching tonks' little outburst. it wasn't ill timed and it was very to the point and everyone seemed to know that he felt the same way which was why they egged him on into accepting that he deserved to have love in his life. it really annoys me how people are so ready to hate tonks when she's just as comparable to ginny or hermione. they're girls and they're willing to risk their necks for the things they believe in. i know i sound like an obsessive fan by saying all that but all the tonks haters really REALLY annoy me. I love remus as much as the next fan so therefore i'm all for him being with her. If you would actually PAY ATTENTION to the story and not be an obsessive little fangirl then you'd see theres a lot more to the story than "ooo why won't you looove me!!" or whatever crap people are saying tonks is like.

I just want to slap Remus there! I know he did it 'cause he had to, and they got back together in the end, but come on, why'd you have to go and break her heart like that! :angry:

I am aww-ing like the fangirl I desperately pretend not to be. The emotion is so perfect in this--I really love the choice to do it without colour in these soft pencil tones, and the random details are fantastic: the way Remus' hand is clutching his cup, Tonks' crossed arms, the book and jacket (scarf?) on the table.

OMG! That is so beautiful! When i first heard Remus say that i was like "awwww" it was so gorgeous! I never thought Jo would go for Remus/Tonks, but I don't mind the pairing, I think it's sweet even though Remus is a good deal older than her, by about 10 years I think, does that sound right? Anyways, the way they're positioned tells the whole story itself, but maybe, would you consider writing a fanfic of it too? I loved your fanfic on fanfiction.net, 'Dates, Pranks and Marauders' and 'A very Sirius christmas'. Well anyways, it looks fantastic!
