As many of you have already noticed, Kirby's Foster-Father Satoru Iwata has died 2 Days ago...
Such a sad News to start with the new day... ;______;

As an Information, why Iwata is Kirby's Foster-Father for me:
Sakurai left Nintendo in 2003, so he wasn't in development for any Kirby-related title since then.
Iwata is the person, who had his eyes on any Kirby game until 'Kirby and the Rainbow Curse' and took care of him and his franchise,
so in my opinion he has done more for Kirby, than his inventor Sakurai and therefore can be legitimately be called as a second father figure or foster-father.
