Just a headcanon I've had for a long time that I wanted to express in a picture. I've seen other people suggest this too over the years. Obviously, to make things more accessible and kid-friendly, Lego would have just stuck with regular Base 10, but I always imagine that in truth the Matoran language should use Base 12. It just felt as though the numerals themselves were incomplete stopping at 9. Multiples of 6 appear all over the Matoran Universe, from the number of Toa needed to make a Toa Seal, to common component numbers (such as Makoki Stones), to days being divided into 36 hours. 12 is an elegant base to use too, since it has so many factors that can make arithmetic calculations easier to do. It just makes sense.
