Description
Faux Ancient Vulcan ScriptThese are non canon letters done in similar fashion to cannon ancient script glyphs found in the series. Old Vulcan in its canon form is found here: [link] and is the inspiration for this series of glyphs.
I call these glyphs rather than letters because each represents a word or a concept rather than a phonetical sound, though in my mind I did link them to a letter. There are some words in "Vulcan" that do not begin with certain letters in our alphabet. So for those letters I just picked other words that I felt I could represent the concept I was trying to express in swirls
So here's the list, starting with the left uppermost letter
A - Ashau - Love
B - Bu'tak - Tradition
C - C'thia - The way things are
D - Dahsau - To Separate
E - Ekwak - Eternal
F - Fa-Wak - Future
G - Gad'hagel - Daylight
H - Hakau - To Heal
I - Ikap - Closed
J - Twash - Open
K - Ka-ta-pak - The inner chorus
(the representation of the struggle of various emotions inside an individual. In ancient times these feelings that often waged war within were personified by deities)
L - Le-Suma - Ice
M - Mekh - Parent
N - Nam - Existance or state of being
O - Orfikkel - Ancestors
P - Psau - Seek
Q - Kitan-kid - Quill
R - Ralash-tanaf - Music
S - Sahris - Fast
T - Tevakh - Death
U - Utan - Compassion
V - Vukhut - Body
W - Wakiv - Time/Temporal
X - Buk - Fate/Destiny
Y - Yeht-gov - Justice
Z - Zek - Order

Thanks! It actually wasn't all that hard, nor did it take long. I just created the basic swirls in illustrator then applied one of the ink brushes to it. After that I merged the shapes. Once that was all done I created an .eps version of the whole alphabet and brought them into photoshop where in I applied the gradient (from top to bottom). It was fun

You could write it out letter for letter but I think that water would probably be a simple glyph like fire and ice are.

No I did not. At the time I created this it was for a project at school. I came up with two other ideas for the full "alphabet" of some kind of symbols/wing-dings and this is the one the class liked best. Teacher said I lucked out. I agreed. It was an easy project for me. Thank you for the link(s) I'll have to look at it more extensively later.

No. The project was done originally for my illustrator class a number of years ago. I've only made additions where I saw a need for it using the same technique to keep it consistent. But thanks for the info... I'll have to try that out at some point.

No problem with that at all but you need to know there's a mistake in my image that I need to find the original file and correct.
V - Vukhut - Body should be labeled:
U - Utan - Compassion
then the next one, improperly labled as O - Orfikkel Ancestors should be
V - Vukhut - Body
Everything else is correct. Please take a picture of it and show it to me when its done
