Another illustration for a short story written by my friend

In this chapter Hannah is finally done catching up on lessons (after a full day of absence) which took only most of the day and goes out to see her friends. In the gardens she finds Kaern and Nicole who are now hanging out as friends, much to her surprise.
    Before they say anything, she is forced to give her word not to do anything reckless afterwards, but when they finally tell how her dad has threatened to banish the bird for good, she rushes to storm his cabinet. Which is empty and the old man is nowhere to be found, since Nicole suggested/convinced him to show (off) the estate to his own parents.
    With that out of the way, both Nicole and Kaern try to explain to Hannah to stop being such an ass to the father, so he wouldn’t put all the blame to the poor bird.
    Over the next week, until the guest departs, Hannah works hard to control herself, and much to everyone's relief it works, as the old man does not follow through with his threats. All three of them spent most of the time away from the estate, over at the pond, to not give extra reason for Hannah’s father to remember about Kaern.
    The end.
    A week after the guests depart, a messenger arrives from the city with a book and a wholesome letter from Nicole attached to it. The book is the third and final tome of the “Griffin Wars'' saga - the same book that Hannah was unable to find at the beginning of the story. In fact, it’s the very same book that Hannah has bought at some book store in the city, when she went missing for a day with her best gryphon-mount bud Kaern
    Hannah is surprised to receive another copy, as she totally has forgotten about her one, never even unpacked it since she returned.
