Description
So here are the rules:
Every piece must be 600x450 or 450x600. Those are my dimensional constraints.
The design can be any and everything, with a few exceptions. It cannot be JUST a photograph, nor can it be JUST a poem, or something like that.
It must be visual, and it must be altered in some way, even if it is a photo and a poem together.
It can be any visual media or medium. It can be a jpeg, swf, html, oil painting, watercolor, anything.
Also, once the day is up, the piece is done, regardless of if I like it or not. I can spend all day on said piece, but once the day is done, the piece is done, and I can never go back and change it.

Focus Points.
Some things I would like to focus on are:
Composition. Great composition can make a piece, regardless of what it is. My work to date has been dull, boring, and uninspired for the most part because of the compositions. Its no coincidence that Openform - Addicted is still my most popular work, and the best composition of my work.

Texture. I want to learn new ways to use texture to convey mood, atmosphere, and feelings in general. I want to drop the name "dark artist" from my self-description, because dark artistry as become crap for the most part. Too many over-textured, poorly designed, uninspired pieces of crap out there for me to even want to claim that title.

Photomanipulation. I want to work with objects I dont normally do. I want to manipulate a bottle cap, a piece of trash, a cd, a candle, fruit, plants, animals, etc.
The people/chains/cables thing is a bit played for me. I want to explore combining things I dont normally think about.

Emotion. I have a VERY hard time saying with images what I feel. I want to tap into this more. When I feel joyous beyond measure, I want to express it. I want to convey it. When I feel dejected and hurt, I want to communicate that in a way that isnt cliche.

Ecumenical design. I want to combine all the different types of art I enjoy looking at, and that inspires me, and make something new. Im tired of seeing the Jens rip-offs, the Cina and Young rip-offs, the Mckean rip-offs, the Madureira rip-offs, all of it. I want to combine the 3d abstract, the grid based, vector craziness, dark-photomanipulation, anime inspired art, and combine it all.
I want to make something truly mine. I want to take the dynamic and diverse personality that I have, and have my art style to be a natural outgrowth of that.
Im not saying Ill come close to my aspirations with this, but I have 366 days with which to fail.

So basically, win, lose, or draw, I hope to accomplish two very basic things: to grow even a little bit as an artist, and to discipline myself into creating.

So, if anyone else wants to join, or do their own similar thing, feel free.

I once heard it said that every artist as 100,000 bad drawings in him, and that once he is finished with #100,000 he is a master.

I will extrapolate that to all art.
