Heres a drawing I did at the tender age of 18It was for an art contest for school, and i got 3rd place. This was waaaay before I knew how to really do wood texture, my shadowing is bad, but i think the anatomy of the hand looks good.

i'm not usually big on Christian art because it's usually all the same. i like how the blood is red and the rest is just in pencil. makes it stand out. i did something like that when i was 16 of a girl who slit her wrists. it was all in pencil except for the blood, which was just red ink. i like this.

ARGH!!!!! Okay, that's it, I'm practicing my drawing skills! This is so stylized and bold, with the thick lines and the agony pose of the hand. And then the red just so blaring... nice. If you inked this, just in black, and then made the blood the same, maybe with some highlights and a little shading to make it really pop, that'd be sweet. I mean, you could do so much to this pic... even leave it as it is, 'cause it's just smoothe. You could even change this up a little and make a nice t-shirt design out of it!

yeah the hand looks realy good structuraly. I relly like how the blood stands out. Kinda like the girl with the jacket in _Shindler's List_
