week 39 of . theme was to draw a pony as another animal.
challenge was to use emphasis. I show the absolute most simple and primitive way to do this by simply using a dark background against these bright characters. Due to still using a style similar to the show itself, I decided not to try and use a more striking form of emphasis, though I'd like to try that soon -- perhaps if I can get back into submitting more non-ATG works like I said I would?

Well, about that, I certainly did have myself a bit of a slump after stopping my dailies, but over the last week I've gotten myself geared up to really go forward in the way I wish to. I actually started this picture way back in the midweek when lately I've been doing these only at the very end of the week (it just took me today to actuallyfinish it since I've been busy) and it was a bit more work than the last few weeks' have been. Plus, I actually had FUN drawing it. I really had an easier time than I thought I would have, drawing a pony as another animal, and aside from Flutters' left leg up there I'd say it's not too bad for a first try.

Needless to say, I had tons, and TONS of other ideas of ponies-as-other-animals and that's one launching pad of ideas with which to do lots more pics on the side. I'm looking forward to it.
