Description was hired to play Lt. Uhura in a fanmade Star Trek episode. First, she had expected a very amateur set made by a Trekkie in a basement, but what she found was a very professional set in a ware house, that looked exactly like the original bridge of USS Enterprise from the 1960. Everything looked professional, from the set, the props to the red uniform. Britney took her seat, while the fans, who had hired her, played the roles of Capt. Kirt, Spock and other members of the crew.

Britney got her biggest surprise, when the elevator door opened and the NOMAD probe hovered on the bridge. Neither it was suspended on wires nor was it rolling on wheels. The probe was actually floating in the air. Britney didn't have to play her surprised, as the script requested. She was completely taken by surprised as NOMAD came closer.
"What is music?" a voice from the probe asked. "Think about music?" A beam of light shot from Nomad's top and encased Britney's head. Britney felt dizzy as NOMAD was re-writing her mind into that of the actual Lt. Uhura. Soon, she would think of herself as the communication officer from USS Enterprise and she would be obedient to Capt. Kirk.
A few minutes later, the Trekkie, who had hired Britney, could add living and obedient Lt. Uhura to his collection.

Uhura became mindless and had to be retrained. With ALL memories and personality wiped, how could she ever be Uhura again ?

Yeah, that episode has some flaws, as many episodes do.
This is a parody on that episode. Britney is the name of the model who provided the Lt. Uhura stock picture.

Glad you like it.

In the original episode, it would have been interesting, if NOMAD would have reprogrammed Uhura with a more logical mind, like Spock's. Then they could have gotten together also in the original series.

Nomad expressed a positive attitude towards Spock.

I first saw Changeling years ago, and recall Kirk saying to the unnatural entity "You are imperfect !" commencing its breakdown and insanity.
"impoifect. Impoifect."
Then I recall Kirk shouting some command to get Nomad into the transporter before it exploded !
I taped that clip but now have no idea where the tape resides...

In that episodes, Nomad mistakes Kirk with its Creator, who has the same name. It mistakes the crew members of USS enterprise for other robots. Espcially Spock appears to it as Kirk's master piece because of his strict logics. Captain Kirk plays along until Nomad fixes Uhuhras "illogical" brain.
The whole episode is resolved, when Kirk gets into a disput with Nomad convincing it that if its mission is to sterilize everything imperfect, Nomad should start with itsself, as Nomad is imperfect. To convince Nomad, Kirk points out that Nomad didn't realise that the crewmember were humans and not robots and that Nomad mistook Captain Kirk for its creator. The rest plays out just as you describe it.

Lt. Uhura being mindcontrolled. Who wouldn't remember that.
