Lmao this picture changed sooo many times while I was working on it omg. There are a ton and I mean a /ton/ of wips I made of this, and I threw them on tumblr as I was working.WIPs: [link]
This took me several days but yesterday I was like GOTTA FINISH THIS, so I did most of it, and just added a few effects this morning.
It was so hard for me to figure out how to make monochrome with a color, so I decided to almost completely emit the color (almost) because I really can't stand using just one color, I'm terrible. IT JUST. NEVER LOOKED RIGHT TO ME IF I MADE THE ORANGE TOO BRIGHT, so now it's more like a greyish-brown eeee It still doesn't look interesting enough to me but there's nothing more I can do /sigh
I liked this pose because it was a kind I'd never done before. The second stage of the picture looked really cliche to me, and this went better with the color scheme that was beginning to form.
SO I HOPE YOU LIKE IT GUYS! ; A ; eee. I've got a lot more things to draw, so expect more art from me soon! (and you don't see more art from me soon feel free to nag me lmao)

Thick lineart is faster but it doesn't suit me because I tend to make my drawings so soft.
(lmao this reminds me of a conversation I was having earlier about how soft my voice is... /cry why am I so soft what am I some sort of bunny?! D:< )
Uhhmm. Digital painting, haha. xD I color a bit under the sketch, then I color on top of the sketch for refining and stuff. @ u @; Well, that's a simple way to put it lol.

I think when I make line art i should make the brush size smaller >__> (obviously). But I can see the lines easily with a bigger brush....uuugh Im so confused DDD:

You have trouble seeing the lineart when you make the lines smaller? Maybe you're not finding a happy medium?
Perhaps you should use a bigger canvas...
Hmm. It appears your pen pressure is also a bit too sensitive, since all the lines go thin THICK thin, when a lot of lines should really just remain mostly the same length and taper off at the end. But it also might just be a very large brush, SAI tends to do that with large brush sizes.
You have a cute style though, if you need any help with this I'll try my best to help you figure it out xD

HOWEVER.
I plan on only using the thick lineart when I make mini comics. But when I usually draw in my very own style (not in chibi), that's when I get a little bit troubled (mostly the shading on every single part of the body. I know how to shade but I feel like it's not good enough)

Well thick lineart for mini comics sounds fine... Hmm okay, shading... I'll have to look through your gallery to see what you mean. xD Oh okay! Well, you have enough contrast in your shading which is good, but you're mostly just using a big soft brush D: That's a problem I see people have a lot, they either use too much of a hard brush or too much of a soft brush.
Okay so, what you want to do is use a nice hard brush and do some shading first. You want to shade in places where things cast a shadow like, underneath strands of hair, underneath the chin, etc. (It takes some practice to know where to do that, you might want to find some reference.) It may seem a bit too harsh at first, if it does you want to do umm. Okay, you want to lock the shading layer (do you know how to do that? D:> ) and then use the soft brush and blend the base color with the shade color a little.
