Y'know, this is what reality looks like when you've got a migraine. (I've had episodic migraines
for over 30 years now....)

Thanks, Hiram. I get synaesthesia when I have mine--and that's why
this particular piece struck a familiar chord for me.

Migraines - so common you'd think they'd have found a cure or a totally functional pain relief system for them, given the number of folk who have them and what a disabler they can be.

Yeah! That's true--they -have- tracked it down to being an actual, neurological
disease, with genetic components in the past couple of years. It -does- run inΒ
families. I got the variety from my dad's side, as opposed to the kid brother,Β
who got them from the bio-mum's side.

So your family goes both episodic or chronic migraine depending on parent?Β My daughter's Grandmother pretty much lives in a migraine state, 60 pain pills a month (which don't really touch it and two or three visits weekly to local hospital for an mixture of painkillers in a shot.Β I sure hope my daughter doesn't inherit that sorrow.

Most are episodic, which still bites. I have a coworker that's chronic, like
your daughter's grandmum--she and I commiserate over migraines andΒ
the like, as sometimes it can be helpful just to have somebody around,
that can understand what it does to one...
