I imagined Doctor Tenma doing this.
Maybe he turned him off for some repair, or Atom is sleeping.
His hug may be rough (and I think it is, expecially with his son, as he knows how powerful he is), but Tenma is always the one who created him. He knows how to revive him and make him feeling better... maybe not psychologically, but physically of course.

You know, there is lot of drama there: in four of these pictures we see Atom or asleep or KO, or trying to survive. Only in two of them we can see a calm situation or he up for a battle.

I did not make any story under these drawings, to tell you the truth. I follow my ideas and inspirations, and they come out.
