My entry for the 2014 Everfree Northwest art contest: “Villians. Rivals… Friends?” everfreenw.com/
Gilda the griffon feels terrible for being such a bully, but she's too proud to let anyone see her soft side. When she comes across a wounded bird in a tree, she can stop pretending and be her loving self.
This was fun to do and i was able to work on some lighting techniques.
Constructive feedback is very much appreciated!

Sounds cool. I wasn't vending the first year of EF and i was able to spend a lot of time in the Arts & Crafts room. It was a fun place to sketch and mess around!
Sadly i didn't get a chance to visit last year, but ill stop by this time if its open XD

This is quite heartwarming. Gilda's posture and eyes give you the sense of real caring. You have a nice style as well.

Uh, you are aware that there are a lot people who are kind to one type of creature, but not to another type? A lot animals who are not considered "cute" tend to become victims of that. For a Griffon, that kind of non-cute animals tend to be horses, they normally eat them.

Guess birds of a feather flock together. This is actually very touching to see. Makes here persona much more fascinating.
