Description
Blue means the country has a group directly focused on its history. Red means a country that has a history group on its past history or on historic countries that controlled its territory. Countries either legally recognized by the United Nations (UN) or widely recognized by the UN member countries are included, entities claiming to be countries without such recognition are not included.To be clear I have zero intention of helping found hundreds of country-specific groups on history and expect that many countries on this map will have no groups. There are some countries where I doubt there could be any strong groups because of internal conflict and lack of any clear unifying sense of history in the country, such as a number of the post-colonial created African countries. Therefore I'm only focusing on helping to build up or establish groups that have significant histories that could be of interest to people across the world and that have the potential for some artwork, photos, etc, to exist on DeviantArt about that history.

On the main page of the group there click the button called "Admin area" with a red circle with a white line in it.
Go to "Manage Members", on the left side is a list of the titles of the admins and members, click "Members". On the right side will be settings options for "On Home", "On Admin Area", "On Gallery", etc. For "On Home" at "Join Requests" select "Are Automatically approved".
For "On Gallery" section, click the blue text at the bottom that says "Show All Folders", I would recommend setting the submissions to all the folders to be "Are Automatically Approved" and set the "Global Submission Limit" in the Featured folder to be 10 per day. For the other folders set the limit at "Global Setting".
That would be a good start, there is still stuff that should be worked on for the administrator functions when more admins are added to the group. But it would be best to get this stuff above sorted out first.

I hope someone can create a history group for Lebanon. Lebanese history is immensely underrated, Lebanon historically as Phoenicia was the base of a major maritime empire in the Mediterranean. Also ancient Greek language's alphabet developed from the Phoenician alphabet, and as well known the ancient Greek alphabet led to the Latin alphabet - so the Phoenician alphabet is directly related to one of the largest used contemporary alphabets. The Phoenician maritime settler colonies led to one powerful northern African empire, Carthage, that become a dangerous rival to Rome in its early years as a civilization.
Someone else will need to do it, I am helping out with as many groups as I can do now and intend to leave administration roles in several of the groups I've helped found to let them develop without my assistance. It would be great to have art on Lebanon's history concentrated into a group.

Agreed, but for now I am dealing with as many groups as I can. It should be neutral on the North-SouthΒ dispute -Β avoid the use ofΒ the flags of NorthΒ or South Korea and find another symbol to use in the logo.Β If you can find some people who are able to then if you or they start it, I would be glad to support it.

I might really start a Korean history-group, till i find a Korean artist who is willing to replace me. I know a bt about Silla and have read about Imjin war.
I don't think North South would become a problem, most Koreans i have met were very open-minded and nice peopleand usually don't have problems with their fellow Koreans of the other state, however i can't judge the Koreans who live there!

Several new history groups have been created and one group that has been around for awhile has been found on DA. Indian-History, Israeli-History, Palestinian-History, PolishHistory, Russian-History, Saudi-History, and Vietnam-Ancient.

HistoriaArgentina has just been created. I don't have much familiarity with Argentine history beyond some basic familiarity, but I'm very glad a group has now started for it.

Found this group ancientturkey.deviantart.com/ that has existed for years that is effectively a Turkish history group as it covers most of the history of Turkey up to the Ottoman era. However it does not cover post-Ottoman history.

I'd support an Iranian-History group. If you or someone else could make that group, I'd support and join it. Right now I'm focusing on getting Egyptian-History started and getting Egyptian users to join, so I can't focus on creating a new group for Iran.
Some still call Iran "Persia", but given that "Iran" is both the official and common name now and that the government of the country itself in 1935 demanded that English-speaking countries call the country "Iran" from that point on, I think Iranian-History is the best name.
A word of warning and advice, you do create that group I would advise you to choose whether to use Iran's current flag on the group's logo because it is the current flag or a plain green-white-red tricolour - a historic civil flag of Iran used by both the monarchy and briefly by Islamic Revolutionaries but not the state flag with the lion even though it is historic as it will be seen as a snub against the Islamic Revolution. I am not saying this for political correctness but rather to allow you to avoid future conflict with Iranian users interested in Iranian history who also support that Revolution.
I think the best solution would be to use the animated logo design of German-History would be the best: it's simple, shows the three colours of the flag, and says the name of the group. I doubt any problems would arise over that.

Thx for showing interest in supporting the group and thanks for the wise advice, i would try to keep the political neutrality of the group, and as you said it should be called the ''Iranian history'' considering the minorities of Iran.
I have been dallying with the idea since couple of monthes but unfortunately no one that i asked, showed much interest in helping me found the group, it's nice to have finally some support 
About the animation of the German group, should i ask the admin of the group to give me the animation, or can i just use the options of the Deviantart to make my own?!

I think DA really needs an Iranian-History group as well as a Greek-History group, the recent famous film on the clash of ancient Persia versus Spartans has created a lot of interest in their histories. Those groups plus Iraqi-History having cooperation with each other would help show the history of Iran's influence in world history and its influence on the history of those countries.
I would ask the founder of the German-History group how the animation was made.

The group RussianHistory has disappeared. Unfortunately there is no group focused on Russian history now, and the red colouring of Russia only is because of the historic post-World War I Ukrainian claims to part of Russia and Germany historically holding what is now Kaliningrad. Russian history is very important, especially in the last century with World War I, the October Revolution, World War II, and the Cold War, so I hope a new group can be founded soon.

Have stepped down as a co-founder of the group Iraqi-History to focus on starting the groups Israeli-History and Palestinian-History that I founded based on strong guidelines to appropriately address the Arab-Israeli and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts.
I think the group Iraqi-History has been well built up now with history from ancient times to present, and now I would only like to be a member just to post some journal entries from time to time to help the group out.
Spanish-History needs some work as the group could be much larger.

I am focusing on countries and other commonly recognized geographic conglomerations. I understand the motivations for a group on Black history, however I am not comfortable in endorsing such such groups focusing on representing people deemed to have been downtrodden in history always provokes accusations of political correctness and hypocrisy. Soon there may be a retaliation to that group with a "WhiteHistoryGroup". It just opens up a can of worms of racially-charged politics that I have no interest in having to deal with.
